Description

The Halo SleepSack Swaddle replaces loose blankets in the crib that can cover your baby’s face and interfere with breathing. In addition to helping your baby sleep safer, it helps him sleep better, too. Its adjustable swaddle wrap immobilizes your baby’s arms to prevent the “moro” or startle reflex.  And, it’s the only 2-in-1 adjustable swaddle that allows for swaddling arms in or arms out for baby’s comfort and to ensure an easy and gentle transition to the SleepSack wearable blanket when it’s time to stop swaddling. Used in hospitals nationwide, the Halo SleepSack Swaddle is the #1 choice of hospitals, recommended by safety organizations and is approved as “Hip Healthy” by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. A portion of every purchase goes to First Candle/SIDS Alliance and The Canadian Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths. Use over regular sleepwear to take the place of loose blankets. Discontinue swaddling when the baby shows signs of rolling over or breaking out of the swaddle wrap. 100% polyester micro fleece. Size preemie fits birth – 5lbs, size newborn fits 6-12 lbs, size small fits 13-18 lbs.
Made with 100% polyester micro-fleece fabric, super-soft & plush inside and out & designed to wick away moisture; tog rating of 3.0 is ideal for chilly seasons and climates and keeping newborns warm
Generously sized swaddle fasteners offer adjustability for a perfect fit; 3-way adjustable swaddle allows arms-in to reduce startle reflex, hands-to-face for self-soothing
Inverted zipper opens from the bottom for easy diaper changes without undoing the swaddle; sleeveless to reduce the risk of overheating; arm and neck openings sized for a safer fit
Recognized as “Hip Healthy” By the International Hip Dysplasia Institute

Reviews

  1. RUN, Don’t Walk
This sleep sack is perfect! Warm and fuzzy for babe, easy to use for parents, great quality. I don’t like to tell people how to parent, but everyone needs a couple of these

  2. A Must Have For Newborns!
I’ll say it simply: you need this in your life. We were given this as a gift when our daughter was a couple months old and both my husband and I said “what was life before this!”. The swaddle is amazing while letting babies legs kick free and keeping them warm. When ready to be unswaddled, by wrapping it around their torso it still gives them extra security and comfort. We’ve graduated from this one to each size of sleep sack after and our daughter loves them! This is now a go to gift we give to our friends becoming parents, and with another one on the way my husband said the other day “We still have those swaddle sleepsack, right?! Do we need to buy more??” haha.

  3. Good concept, problematic sizing
I have been using Halo sleep sack swaddles since my baby was born 9 weeks ago. I love the concept, much easier than traditional swaddling, and keeps baby very warm. However, the sizing is an issue for my little one. She is long and slender, so the Newborn size was too short for her by 6 weeks or so. However in the small size, the length is good but it’s way too baggy so it’s very difficult to swaddle her arms firmly in place – she can wriggle out pretty quickly. Maybe these are better suited to a baby who is shorter.

  4. Helps prevent SIDS -Sudden Infant Death Syndrome
This is a terrific product:It keeps baby warm with out the use of blankets which may contribute to possible suffocation. It reminds you to place baby on their back for sleep. Research has proven that sleeping on their back is the safest position. It has a zipper at the bottom to facilitate easy diaper changes. It is roomy enough for baby to kick and move their legs.It has a swaddle feature to help cuddle baby and keep them calmer.

  5. Zipper splits open when zipped up
The zipper has had a problem with undoing from the top and splitting but it’s nothing crazy. Might be from my little one stretching? The Velcro is loud but it holds well so it’s worth it. Love the fact that the zipper zips down so you can change diapers at night without undoing everything. Wish it was a bit longer in length but overall, it’s warm, and my baby loves it

  6. Good, could be better
Bought and started using this Halo swaddle recently, since the weather turned colder here in Toronto. I like the neutral colour and the options to swaddle arms in/out. I’m reassured my little one is warm when wearing it. I have taken away a couple stars because I wish Halo had used a stronger/better quality zip. Having used this for a week, the zip (which is not a two way zip, which most parents would agree is a must for night time diaper changes) has already split several times. It zips from the top down, so when the split occurs its right near my babys face, having to fiddle with it to fix, has resulted in my baby waking – its just a cheap annoying zip. So far has washed well.

  7. Super soft and snug! Newborn loves it 💙
Newborn loves it! Have been using this SleepSack since night one at home with my newborn and he loves it! I received one this size (Small 3-6 months) as a hand me down and ended up buying another to have as a back up because he likes it so much. Despite it being for a 3-6 month olds, the neck and arms are small enough to work for a newborn (7 pounds) and the sizing just leaves lots of room for babe to grow in length. Looking forward to using this for the months to come!

  8. Great purchase – Grows with baby
I loved that this sleepsack helped my son transition from the swaddle to a regular sleepsack. We started with using the swaddle to keep his arms in – he would hit himself in the head and wake himself up if we kept his arms out. He was 3 months old at the time. As he got more control of his hands, we were able to transition by having one arm swaddled and the other arm was free. Eventually we moved to having both arms out but he still had the sensation of swaddle because we wrapped the swaddle piece just around his belly. He slept very comfortably. It was nice and warm for him without him overheating and it was easy to clean.
