Description

The HALO SleepSack Swaddle replaces loose blankets in the crib that can cover your baby’s face and interfere with breathing. In addition to helping your baby sleep safer, it helps him sleep better, too. Its adjustable swaddle wrap immobilizes your baby’s arms to prevent the “Moro” or startle reflex. And, it is the only 3-way adjustable swaddle that adjusts to your baby’s sleep style. Swaddle arms in, hands-to-face, one or both arms out to ensure baby’s best sleep and an easy and gentle transition to the SleepSack wearable blanket when it is time to stop swaddling. Used in hospital nurseries nationwide, the Halo SleepSack Swaddle is the #1 choice of hospitals and is recognized as “Hip Healthy” by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. Its strong adjustable fasteners ensure a perfect fit and resist breakouts for more secure swaddling. Plus, its innovative zipper, unzips from the bottom allowing your baby to stay swaddled for easy diaper changes.

Generous sack design allows room for kicking, but cannot be kicked off so baby stays warm all night. Recognized as “Hip Healthy” by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute.
Sleeveless design reduces the risk of overheating. Use over regular sleepwear to take the place of loose blankets. Discontinue swaddling when the baby shows signs of rolling over or breaking out of the swaddle wrap.

Reviews

  1. Easy to use, and it works!
After using this you will never want to go back to traditional swaddling. So easy to use, hip safe, and really cute. I thought my baby hated swaddling, but turns out I just wasn’t swaddling her tight enough the traditional way. This sleep sack swaddles her nice and snugly and she goes right to sleep. My only gripe is that the edges of the wing with the Velcro strips sometimes get stuck to the Velcro, and some of the stitching is getting ruined by that. Overall, great quality. I’ve purchased a second one to rotate with the first. If I have another baby I will definitely start using this earlier from birth.

  2. Best swaddle sleep sack
I never write reviews but this is so worth it. Soft, breathable, easy to use. You can tighten it more or less, leave the arms in or out, and the leg space is ample. Our baby sleeps in it through the night (apart from one express feeding). She managed to wiggle out one hand to her face once so far but that’s not a big deal. You can tighten it more if you’re concerned. People complained that Velcro is ruined after washing but all you have to do is close it and the zipper for the wash and don’t put it with items that attach to Velcro or shed (like towels). As for the other reviewers concerned with the edge of the swaddle being too close to baby’s mouth, just attach it downwards and diagonally and it’s fine. Our baby is 5.2kg for now and we got a size small (starts at 6kg) but it’s perfect. I also love how roomy the sleeve openings are to tuck in the sleepy baby without disturbing her. We have a perilimpipin fleece sack and it was always a hastle to get her arms through not to mention she got a heat rash from sleeping in the non breathable polyester fabric. Very happy with this one, will purchase larger sizes when time comes.

  3. nice
It worked well, be careful washing it though because of the velcro it kind of ruined it after a while.

  4. Easy to use, hip friendly, baby happy
Our son loves being swaddled but we knew when we came home from the hospital that hip safety was going to be one of our concerns because of how tightly he likes to be tucked in. This swaddle makes it so easy! Tired, early mornings where you’re half asleep and trying to make it through a diaper change so you can reswaddle as fast as possible and try to catch a few more hours of sleep means that every second counts. Not fighting with a swaddle blanket and trying to get it right or worrying about it coming undone and him covering his face helped us sleep just a few minutes more every time we put him back to bed. He sleeps better in this swaddle vs a swaddle blanket as well. The only downside being our son is quite tall and will likely outgrow the swaddle before we need to stop for safe sleep.

  5. Come On Sept.
Just waiting for new grand child to come in Sept/24 . The Halo sleep sack swaddle & 3-way adjustable 100% cotton wearable blanket feels nice and soft. Can’t wait to wrap the baby in it. Great quality, price was great. Shipping, well you know very fast.

  6. Great sleepsack & swaddle combo!
Got this sleepsack/swaddle to use for my 2 month old. The swaddle has worked great, and it’s especially useful when transitioning from swaddle to sleepsack as you can put 1 arm out and then 2, all while having your baby still feel “secure” with the swaddle around their waist. Nice, soft material that washes nice (even after multiple washes!), and the Velcro stays secure. Very easy to use. Would recommend this swaddle/sleepsack combo to any new parent.

  7. Good product but could be longer
This swaddle helped our 2 month old sleep better and was a lot more easier to use than muslin swaddles. Very helpful during the newborn phase! We used it in the summer and could see it easily be used in cooler weather with an additional layer or two underneath. The wings were a little long but did the job. Unfortunatly our 50th percentile baby started to find the swaddle a little too short around 3 months and we never got to test the product out in cooler weather. There was no way the product would have lasted him until 6 months. Due to the short length the product had a fairly short lifespan.

  8. Not meant for tall and thin babies!
In theory I wanted to love this but it was not designed with tall babies in mind. My son is 10weeks and has always had long legs and a thin body. Every growth spurt his legs and torso seem to get longer but he doesn’t gain much width. At his last appointment at 8 weeks he measured at 25in tall and 10lbs 11oz. I have the newborn sleep sack both in fleece and cotton which fit his width perfectly but he is way too tall for them now and only looks comfortable if he sleeps with his knees bent. I thought I would go up a size to the small to give him more leg room. Which is true but it is WAYYY to big across his body. When I wrap the first flap tightly against his body the Velcro pad is basically on his front. So when I wrap the other side and the Velcro goes around to his back side they don’t line up. To get the Velcro to line up on his tiny body it has to be really loose which defeats the whole point of swaddling! My son still has the startle reflex and wakes himself up if not swaddled. Not to mention it is a safety concern because he can get out of it easily and push the extra fabric up around his face! It would be great if Halo either made the newborn size sack longer or widened the Velcro coverage on the size small to better accommodate tall and thin babies! At this point I either have to use the newborn size and let his legs stick out, or buy a different swaddle all together. The bbluv brand seems like the measurements may fit his height better so I will give that a try next.Side note – I read other comments about the material being too stretchy and easy to break out of. In my opinion you should expect a cotton fabric to be stretchier than the fleece version. However, if the sizing fits well and you are able to Velcro it tightly (only possible with the newborn size for us) then we haven’t had a problem.

  9. Ordered this awhile ago and I’m delighted I did. Baby has slept well since we’ve got this and its a good size unlike other swaddles we’ve had which we didnt get very long out off. All in all this is a really good product and I would definitely buy again

  10. I tried another brand of swaddlers and this one is definitely the one to use. The zipper also starts at the bottom (instead of at the neck), so you don’t have to expose the chest while changing diapers.

  13. Used it only a couple times because every time my then 1 month old would wake up with the sleep sack almost covering his mouth. The sleep sack would ride up no matter how I swaddled him. Unfortunately I didn’t feel comfortable with him in it.
