Must have for baby
I went through 2 cheaper machines until i finally invested in the Hatch and it was well worth it. It’s easy to use and looks cute. No issues and ive had mine for 3 yrs. There was once an issue with the cord however I contacted Hatch and they instantly sent me a new one. I love the different colours, the different sounds, volume intensity etc – and best of all you can turn it on and off with your phone. A must have with a baby and a gift I love giving as a baby shower gift.

Love this little machine. Baby sleeps with it every night and wakes up to it every morning. Love the custom colours and good variety of sounds to choose from.
Keeps kids in bed
This is one of the best products I’ve purchased as a parent. I’ve been using it for my toddler for 11 months and it has eliminated the struggle to transition to bedtime. My toddler stays in his bed all night until the programmed time when the light changes colour. If your child knows their basic colours, they’re ready for this “clock” as my son calls it.We love that we can control it from our phones and quickly make modifications to the routine when needed. The ONLY reason I wish we bought the portable version instead is when we have power outages or flickers, the sound machine and light turn off which wakes up and upsets my child. Other than that, it’s perfect.

The Hatch Rest Baby Sound Machine has been a wonderful addition to our nighttime routine! I love the versatility it offers with both sound and light options, allowing us to customize the environment to what works best for our little one. The sound quality is excellent, and there are plenty of soothing sounds to choose from, which help my baby drift off to sleep more easily.The night light feature is also a game-changer. The adjustable colors and brightness levels make it perfect for nighttime feedings and diaper changes without being too harsh. Setting it up through the app is straightforward, although I did have a couple of minor hiccups connecting it initially.My only critique is that the device itself is a bit larger than I expected, which can take up more space on the bedside table. Overall, I highly recommend the Hatch Rest for parents looking for a reliable and multifunctional sleep aid for their baby!
Not good
Donât buy this version. We have the hatch rest + for our son and love it !This 2nd gen hatch rest is awful. It always glitches, clock sometimes works sometimes doesnât, you have to crank the volume full to get a decent sleeping sound. And to top it all off it will connect to my wifi but it will not connect to the app no matter what Iâve tried ! So Iâm stuck using the pre programmed noise and lights which is awful. The white noise is stuck on a red light and my poor newborn hates it and wonât sleep in her room. But she loves her brothers room that we were able to make more relaxing with different colours and sounds! The programming on this one sucks and Iâve read a lot of reviews online about it as well and people have the same issues. So do yourself a favour and do not buy this version !!! Iâm ready to throw it in the garbage and cry – signed a seriously stressed out tired mama
2nd gen is just fine, but original is much better
Works as expected, I found the sound volume levels just fine and didnât need to crank them to outrageous levels to hear. App is easy enough to program but more steps then the original and if your WiFi goes out or maybe even the power I doubt this this is turning itself on! Overall itâs fine, most of the same sounds as original and you donât need the subscription to get enough basic features for a sound machine and wake clock. But if youâre comparing to the hatch 2nd gen to original hatch with NO WiFi itâs not as good and am disappointed they discontinued. I used to always recommend hatch to friends but Iâm not sure i would anymore. Iâm sure youâll be happy with the product, works as expected with a few technological mishaps along the way but if youâre comparing to the original you may be surprised!
Amazing Product
Iâve boughten 3 for gifts. Great price, good quality. Easy for kids to turn on and off as well. Fits nicely on a side table and is the perfect brightness or turns very low.

We had a different brand of sound machine for our toddler, but decided on the hatch for our newborn. Would never go back to anything else, we really love it. Itâs really nice to be able to control from the app on your phone, the app is super easy to use. We love the red light on the hatch for night feedings. Definitely recommend
As a mom of 3 littles, the hatch rest sound machine and light works extremely well. I love the clock feature on this version, and the app is very user friendly. It is nice to have all of our care takers being able to adjust the settings when needed. We do use it for travel as it is portable. This version updated the cord port and button placement, which has improved the overall design. I would highly recommend for any baby registry.
