Iâve used it just for a few days and itâs already disconnected from the plug in and canât reconnect it, and the plug in is glitching so when i press the light button the light changes along with the music even when im not touching the music button. changing the music also doesnât even change the doorbell sound when you click the button.
We like this bell and got our dog to use it without treats (eventually). It operates on 433mhz so we were able to easily integrate it with Home Assistant using an RFbridge. No more awkward conversations with our dog about whether he wants out or just happens to be hanging out by the door. Now he can tell us. It says it’s for the door but it seems like you could use it for other things as well. They really should sell extra buttons that could be paired to the same receiver because I could see other uses. There is a two pack available but no way to add more that I’m aware of.Here’s what we we did.step 1) Unplug the bell and bait the button with a very small amount of peanut butter.step 2) Plug the bell back in.step 3) When our dog goes to the door he notices the peanut butter and licks it off which triggers the bell.step 4) We open the door for him.step 5) Unplug the bell and clean the button.step 6) Plug the bell back in.step 7) Wait at least 20 minutes.step 8) Start over at step 1.We unpugged the bell so cleaning it didn’t set it off and confuse him. We slowly used the peanut butter less often. Sometimes it took a while before he would activate the bell but we were patient. At night we let him out one last time and we made sure the button was clean. He finally understands the bell’s true purpose. It took just under a week as the dog trainers suggested it would.
Got it set up, in the middle of training our 3 year old chuajuha dog how to ring the ‘I gotta-go’ button as we call it. It works perfectly but it’s up to the owner to go about how to train. What I’m doing is every morning my dog runs to the front door doing a little chihuahua -pp-dance. I make her wait and watch me push the button, then let her out. At this point she runs to the door and then watches me push in the device then let her out. I’ve seen it done, I will prevail. If all goes as planned then this could be a magic tool in preventing accidents 3 feet from the goal line. Product is solid, my only upgrade I would like to see is something a little more ‘animal’ friendly so that it’s not as sterile in appearance – for us humans it looks sleek.
Picked up this doggie doorbell so my pup can let me know when heâs ready to come back inside, and itâs been a game-changer. No more scratching at the door or me constantly checking to see if heâs waiting outside. It took some getting used too, but he caught on pretty fast, and now he just gives it a tap when heâs ready to come in. The setup was easy, just stuck it near the door at his level, and that was it. The chime is loud enough to hear from another room but not obnoxious. Itâs also wireless, so no drilling or complicated installation. The build quality seems solid, and itâs held up well to daily use. If youâve got a dog that spends time in the yard and you donât want to play doorman all day, this is a simple and effective solution. Definitely worth it!
this bell works seamlessly. I am still trying to train my dog to use it however, that will take time. its super easy to use and has a large button. the bell is pretty loud as well. the button part has a battery in it which has to be a button battery. I am sure that this will eventually die and make the thing turn into e-waste. Nonetheless, it works great for what it is.
