Great product, phenomenal customer service
Bought the baby monitor and camera in August 2024, and loved it right away. Did everything it said it did and was very user friendly. Had no complaints until parent model stopped working properly in Oct. Contacted customer service, recieved a response via email within 24 hours and had the issue resolved. Super happy with the product and customer service. Would definitely buy from hello baby again and reccomend to anyone looking for no wifi baby monitor.
Not worth it
I had the hello baby 5â display monitor and I loved it(though I stepped on it one day and broke the screen woops). When I went to buy another they were completely sold out so I figured this should be the same thing only a smaller screen. This monitor is TERRIBLE. The sound is so delayed and sometimes it wonât even pick up my baby cryingâ¦.. the eco mode doesnât work, it just turns off the monitor and then disconnects and canât find signal anymore. It will randomly pick up white noise and disconnect even when I havnt moved it in a while. I played around to see if it was another device or wall in my home that was making the monitor randomly disconnect, I came up with nothing. Itâs never the same spot or on for a specific amount of time when it disconnects. It makes me worried it will disconnect randomly at night and I wonât be able to hear my crying baby. I only use for naps as I can make sure to be checking the monitor incase it randomly disconnects again. Donât waste your money on this one. Either get the 5â display version or go with another brand altogether. Not worth the headache or anxiety of a faulty monitor.
Immediately broke- received a replacement
*Edit- we reached out the company and received a new monitor and camera. As of right now it is working as it is supposed to. Hoping that it continues to work unlike the first one.*We purchased this monitor with high hopes. We were quickly let down. Our second time using it the screen went black and has not come back on. The camera still works, moves around the room, and picks up sound but no image can be seen on the screen. We tried everything from resetting, to repairing and nothing fixed the problem. Beyond disappointed with the poor quality of this baby monitor.
Very good customer service
My charger stopped working so I emailed customer support. They answered my email within the hour and had a new monitor sent out which I received within 48 hours! Itâs a good thing because I really love this monitor. The VTech VOX mode just turns the screen off, whereas this monitor completely shuts off and turns on only when my baby is crying.
Affordable and compact
I got the hello baby monitor for my childcare business and it has been great. I love that the camera has great rotation so I can adjust the angles from the parent monitor without disturbing sleeping toddlers and it is compact enough that I can carry it around in my yoga tights pocket. It was also very affordable. It is a great monitor and would definitely recommend.
Monitors don’t last, won’t hold charge
The first monitor lasted just over a year, then suddenly wouldn’t hold a charge. The second monitor (which at the time could not be purchased separately, and I had to purchase it in a bundle with another camera that wasn’t needed) lasted LESS than a year before it again wouldn’t hold a charge. It’s a good camera and monitor system, the volume is good, the picture is good, the temperature display is useful, and it does have a variety of other useful functions. But at this rate, having to purchase a new monitor yearly, I don’t really think it’s worth the bang for your buck. Since I already have the cameras I’m obviously going to continue purchasing the monitor, but I’m not impressed with the longevity of the product, and wouldn’t recommend based on this factor.
Great Camera, Great Customer Service
This camera has great clarity and the volume is very clear. The night vision is crisp and is perfect for keeping an eye on our little one. We like that it is not connected to the wifi and feel it is safe. Unfortunately we have had a few technical issues however we contacted the company and they are working with us to resolve the issue. I have had to replace the monitor in the past so this is not my first time, however they do back the product with a one year warranty and it is inexpensive enough to replace it even out of warranty, which I had done the first time. If you are looking for an inexpensive monitor with great quality, I would recommend this one over and over.
I am a mother of 4 and have used a few different monitors over the years, but this HelloBaby by far has been the best. I have used this monitor for 2 of my 4 children, still using it for my 2 year old now, and plan on continuing to use it for our next baby too. I have even been gifted other monitors with all of the fancy bells and whistles that I tried out, but I just end up stopping use of them and going back to this tried and true monitor that I love. This is simple and easy to setup and use, not at all confusing like some others. No wifi or Bluetooth connection. In fact one of my favorite features about this is that it does not have to connect to wifi, which can be spotty, and I have never had to worry about a stranger hacking into our monitor that way. It has great range and reaches all throughout our 4,000 sqft home, and has even worked inside our nextdoor neighbors house too. My husband was still at home, but I carried the monitor over to my neighbor’s with me so that I could watch my baby sleeping. The volume turns up loud and clear so that I can hear it throughout our house, and turns down quiet enough that I myself can get a good night’s sleep without waking up from every little sound that my baby makes. But the lowest setting is still loud enough to wake me if my baby is crying. The picture is crisp and clear, and I love that there is the temperature always displayed so that I know if I need to adjust the heat or air. We have traveled with this so much over the years and always take it with us when we visit family, and have never had trouble with it not working in any of the houses that we have stayed in. I have never found that anything interferes with the connection causing it not to work, and that is most important to me. If there was one thing that I could change about this monitor it would have to be having the time displayed on the screen so that I don’t have to look between my cellphone and monitor for that, but it has not been a problem over the past 4 years of using it. I would highly recommend this monitor to anyone looking for a quality simple monitor that doesn’t stress you out setting up and using it.

Super bueno, me sorprendió lo fácil que es utilizarlo. Ok a imagen se ve super bien, hasta puedo ver ver pequeños movimientos Como la respiración d mi bebé, en la noche con todas las luces apagadas veo al bebé perfecto, se escuchan asà todos los sonidos igual a la perfección. Estoy impresionada con la nitidez de la a cámara, trae más funciones . Vale muchisimo la pena, pienso ,porque no compre este para mi hijo más grande. Super recomendado.
