Great White Noise Machine for Babies
I bought this item before my baby was born to use it as a white noise machine to help her sleep. It has been working great and my baby loves it.I don’t know if this is solely due to this machine, but she has been sleeping 7 hours at night starting at 2 months old.PACKAGE CONTENTS:- 1 Sound Spa Speaker unit- 1 Wall ower Adapter- 1 ManualPROS:- Has 6 different sounds : Thunder, Ocean, Brook, Summer Night, Rain, and White Noise.- The volume is adjustable from very quite to quite loud. I keep it at about 50% to drown out other noises in the house- Has a auto off timer: 15,30,60 Min. This is optional as you can have it on non stop. I run it non stop while my baby is sleeping.- Build Quality is good, seems like it will last.CONS:- The sounds are prerecorded and are on a loop. If you try really hard you can hear when it repeats. This did not bother me, but others may be bothered by this.- The LED light is quite bright if you have a pitch black room.OVERALL RATING:- 5 STARS. A great product for my needs. I use the Rain sound setting and keep it on all the time when my baby sleeps. She seems to like it and is sleeping very well for her age. The product delivered exactly what I needed.
great for home or travel
We have two of these, and theyâre fantastic! It is perfect for home, and also great for traveling or camping since it can run on batteries or be plugged in. The sound quality is soothing and really helps with sleep. Highly recommend for anyone needing portable relaxation!

Great sound machine
Great sound machine, works as expected. Uses 4 AA batteries at a time, and so far, it has survived nearly continuous overnight use for 3 weeks (don’t know how much longer). Love that you can set timer (15, 30 or 45min) so the sound automatically shuts off.I would like it more if the sound fades off instead of abruptly shuts off. As well, all the sound options are water-based, and one that is white noise. It would be nicer if there were other, non-water sound options, but we mostly use the white noise and the thunderstorm, and those work well for our LO.Over all, worth the price, decent product.
Good value for price
I’ve never been a “sound machine” or any sleep aid type of mom but after a very rough 2 years and counting of not sleeping through the night I had to start trying everything.I like this sound machine is very minimal (I really don’t need 30+ colors of light and sounds. We read other reviews mentioning the turn on/off and volume dial can be easily broken so we’ve been extra careful with it and haven’t had issues so far.Yes the ‘on’ light does have a bit of shine to it but it doesn’t bother us. It’s quite nice for our son since it makes it not totally pitch dark. You could try taping it if you find it too bright.It’s great for at home and travels since it’s light and portable. When we travel and share a room with our kid we find it quite soothing as well. My favorite sound is the ocean one and the thunderstorm one although my husband has said that one sounds like something it’s about to happen.I’d buy it again so far but it’s early enough (about a month or so).. I’ll update this if anything changes..
Great, simple and low tech sound machine, sound loops, timer optional
For the price point this sound machine is a great little tool. I have been using it for my son. We didnât want anything too high tech or complicated. Nothing Bluetooth or wifi. Just a simple sound machine to put in my little guys room. This works great, has a variety of sounds and the volume level is pretty good. The sound does loop so if that bothers you maybe donât use this one. Machine has timer and will also play continuously until you shut it off if you do not activate timer. Great purchase, I recommend it!
new machines, different sounds
Just turned it on to the rain setting which is so different from the previous models. I have used these machines for 8 years and now they change the rain sound. Now it sounds like rain drops, pretty terrible. Will likely send it back and look for an older model, used.

very soothingit comes with a UK Adapter and it also works with batteries,Love to listen to rain or other nature sounds to fall asleep to at night. So thought I’d try this product. I really love it. The sounds are so soothing. You can plug it in or put batteries in to use it more portable. Great for taking on trips to hotel rooms to drown out the silence or noisy neighbors. It puts my 3 year old granddaughter to sleep at night. She ask for us to play her water sounds 🙂 Great purchase for a great price.
Let me start by saying that I cannot sleep without this machine.Now let me explain why. I am a light sleeper, work the midnight shift and sleep during the day. I have a 2yr old daughter(high pitch screamer) and 5 & 11 yr old boys that don’t get along. In the past I slept with a window AC running next to my head to block out the noise of the house. When winter came I was reluctant to take the AC out of the window because it was the only thing I had that would muffle the other sounds in the house. I tried earplugs that made my ears raw after a few weeks. I tried running fans on top speed. I tried running the TV, but occasionally gunshots and explosions on the TV would wake me up.So when I bought this sound machine, I was very happy and relieved. I have had this for 5 months. I only use 2 of the sounds. Rain (wife’s favorite) and Waterfall (my favorite). To me the waterfall cranked up loud sounds like my window AC, which is why its my favorite. I set it next to the bedroom door and crank it up loud. I sleep farthest from the door. And I sleep like a baby unless one of the kids do a cannonball run into the bedroom door. I am so happy with this sound machine that I bought another one to stash away just in case this one ever stops working, after all I am a few decades from retiring and getting my kids all grown up and out of the house. Simply put, I need this!I think the build and style of the machine is fairly nice and low profile. My room is like a darkroom and i am able to find the “on” switch(its also the volume switch) easily in the dark. It really doesn’t take much room. The volume is a turn dial that goes plenty loud enough to drown out sibling rivalry in the rest of the house. The speaker is on top with the push button sounds around the speaker. You can turn the unit on and off and it will stay on the selected sound as long as it remains plugged in. And there is also an off timer on the unit. I have no complaints about this device. And with the sleep i have been able to get since owning this, it was well worth the reasonably small price i paid for it.
I bought this as I live in a flat where the person above can be heard getting ready for bed, floor boards creak etc. I have found this machine much more effective than ear plugs to mask the sounds and allow me to relax and go to sleep. Would recommend you try if you have a similar problem
After staying with a friend who had a sound machine, I got spoiled & couldn’t easily fall asleep without one. So I purchased this one, the HoMedics SS-2000 Sound Spa Relaxation Sound Machine. I found this little machine is about as perfect as it gets. It has 6 sounds – rainforest, ocean, rain, summer evening, waterfall, and heartbeat. The heartbeat is a bit creepy, but as I understand, it’s more for newborns anyway. With adjustable volume, the sound quality is very good. Yes, the sounds loop as other reviews mention, but not a problem if using it to help fall asleep and block out outside sounds. Besides, nature tends to sound repetitive in person, so that’s not a big deal to me and in fact one of the benefits to help fall asleep. It also has a 15, 30 and 60 minute auto off timer, which is nice because I’ve found if I listen to the rain or waterfall all night, I end up having to get up to go to the bathroom eventually. Some reviews have also commented on the brightness of the timer lights. I don’t have a problem with this because 1) I put the machine across the room behind other things, and 2) I wear a sleep mask. Regardless, the light is rather small. So if it is that distracting, then I’d recommend a sleep mask. Bonus because this machine can either plug into an outlet or use batteries – so portability is a plus.Overall, I’d recommend it as a great sleep aid. If you’ve ever been lulled asleep by the ocean, then this is perfect for you.
