Iâve been using this toilet seat for about 2 weeks now, and I think itâs a pretty nice toilet seat. It looks great, and I think itâs pretty easy to put on. The colour is a true white, and itâs a pretty nice soft close toilet seat.Hereâs what I like about this toilet seat:-Itâs a true white colour-It came with no damage, and all parts in the box-Easy to install-Soft close-Adjustable seat-Cleaning instructions are words, and clear-The bumper pads are soft and not molded plastic-Anchors to attach to the toilet fit well, but may rust over timeAnd hereâs what I donât like about it:-The instructions are purely pictures. I wouldâve liked some written instructions, as some pictures are pretty unclear.So the only thing I would say needs to improved is the instructions. Theyâre okay, but honestly I think you can get confused quite quickly, as the photos they used arenât the best. Theyâre also the only thing you get. It is pretty easy to install though, and honestly I think most people will be able to figure it out.Overall though, I think itâs a great toilet seat. Itâs really adjustable, and I think at $46, itâs a pretty good price.

NOT compatible with American Standard clips
To use this seat you MUST replace your existing American Standard pins with the ones provided with the seat since they are not the same so the product description is not accurate (pins are different and clip on different height so rear of seat doesn’tlay flat). Otherwise the product seems to be well made. â of the weight of Amercan Standard seats (I don’t know if that’s a good thing). Size is exactly the same.If you’re just looking for a toilet seat it’s a great value it definitely seems to be the case, but don’t rely on using your Amercan Standard clips as it will not fit.
WELL MADE, SUPER CONVENIENT – But instructions need improvement
REVIEW OF: Homfan Elongated Soft Close Toilet Seat,____________________________________________________________________________________________A few months before I got this toilet seat I had purchased a soft close toilet seat from a local outlet of a national hardware store. On sale at the time, it cost me close to the same as what this one is currently selling for. BUT, this “Homfan” toilet seat is noticeably better quality. I really like this toilet seat. I got this one for our first floor bathroom, and now we’re seriously considering getting another one of these to replace the one on the second floor (which I bought from the hardware store a few months earlier).It mounts differently than any other toilet seat I have seen before. The spring button release hinges are cool. You can easily remove the toilet seat and cover (leaving the mounting brackets still attached to your toilet bowl). Putting it back on again simply requires you to position it over the two posts and gently push down.My only disappointment is that the instructions are *not* as clear as they could be. I would call myself a very experienced DIYer and mounting a toilet seat should be a breeze. This toilet seat has a different mounting assembly than any other I’ve seen before. Once I figured out how it gets installed, installation was easy. The part of the instructions for installing the mounting brackets is a very small diagram on the instruction sheet. After scanning in the instruction sheet and zooming in on this diagram I then understood how the clear plastic pieces were used. YES there is an installation video on the seller’s page here. But in the video they do not show what to do with the clear plastic brackets/parts that are included in the kit.SOME INSTALLATION TIPS======================1. The clear brackets (parts “E”) clip onto the black brackets (parts “D”) before you do anything else (see the zoomed section of the instructions I included and also one of the pictures I’ve attached). They only clip on one way. Play around a bit and you’ll figure out how they fit together.2. The black plastic “screw anchors” that go into the toilet seat mounting holes would not go easily into the mounting holes on my toilet. At least one other reviewer said they had the same problem. In my case they were just a very small hair to wide. I was able to get them into the holes easily by GENTLY tapping them in with a hammer (see my attached pictures to see what I mean).3. Watch the installation video from the seller’s Amazon page. It shows the installation procedure well. EXCEPT it also doesn’t have any part showing how to use the 2 clear plastic pieces.This toilet seat is very well made and is super convenient! Guys when we’re done we should always put the seat back down… with this seat you only have to give the seat a little push and it goes down slowly and quietly. EASY. (see my attached video)Originally I was going to REDUCE my rating by one star.However the actual seat is so fantastic I’m leaving my rating at *** 5 STARS ***
