My 3 year old great-nephew loved the truck. The adults tried to get involved with discovering all of the features, i.e. the lights and sounds. The recipient just wanted to play with it. He eventually discovered all the features through play. The adults learned the value of unstructured play. Lesson learned.Get value for the money. If itâs still functional in one month, itâs a great toy. Time will tell.

I will purchase it again. It’s a good size, and it’s made of metal. I love how the tow truck actually works. The doors open, sounds, lights. You can pull out the piece that locks under the front wheels foe the tow. The tractor is solid metal and you can move all the parts. Worth every penny spent.

Was a gift for local Christmas toy drive. Did look at it – appears to be well made.Only issue was with the delivery. Notice received that it would not be delivered until Dec. 5th but came on the 4th. Am in an apartment and was home all day on the 4th. Normally they buzz but this time no one did. Left in lobby. Neighbor noticed it still there when he came home from work and kindly brought it up for me otherwise would have no idea it was there.

it’s a metal toy with rubber wheels, nice decals and the lights are great, the flatbed etc everything is great. now if only the door opened so my little guy (or I) could jam a lego figure in there but no complaint, I’ll look for more of this brand

Fun toy for children interested in construction
This is one of the better ‘construction’ types kids toys I’ve seen. The tow truck is about a foot long, has some metal pieces to make it feel sturdy, but does have plastic as well. The truck bed can move backwards & be lifted up, as well as lower the back gate part (I don’t know car terms). The sounds are VERY sensitive on this – if you press down slightly on the back wheels, that activates the sound. But it’s very sensitive to any pressure. Even when you have the excavator on there, it makes noises and they are LOUD. I wish there was an on/off button. But it’s just always on. You can press the steering wheel to make a horn noise, which is quite cool. Apparently the doors open but I have yet to be able to get them to open.The excavator (back hoe?) doesn’t make any noises but it’s functional – both buckets move up and down. This would be good for playing in sand – may not want to put the truck bed in there though.The truck is friction powered, which I don’t really know what that means, but it can move on it’s own if you back it up. Overall this is a cool, realistic toy. I’m a little concerned about durability because my son is not gentle with cars and there are some plastic pieces on the truck bed I can see breaking. I also think it’s a little expensive for what you get. However, better than a lot of toy trucks you see on the market these days.
Moving parts for realistic flatbed loading.
This flatbed tow truck is really fun to play with. I got it for my 5 year old nephew for Christmas.Because I was really interested to see how it works, while stated itâs appropriate for 3-5 year olds, I had one of my other nephews, age 12, try it out so we could get an idea how it works, and he had a lot of fun with it.The truck has a metal cab. The backhoe is made of what seems like a fairly nice plastic. The mirrors on the cab are adjustable, but are made of plastic. Iâm not too sure how well theyâll hold up. There are other parts that are plastic as well. Also the tires are rubber, that grips well, and allows for smooth movement of the truck. This toy is a friction type device, that allows for the toy to go about 8-10 feet.This toy has sirens and lights, that can be activated at various locations on the toy. While Iâm not a big fan of toys with sounds, this one isnât as loud as other ones Iâve heard on various toys.The flat bed, extends backwards and forwards, and the ramp at the end of it, lifts up and down manually, and allows for loading and unloading of the backhoe.By the time my older nephew checked this out, he was fully on board with this as a gift for his younger cousin. With that opinion, I highly recommend this toy.
We got this for my 2 year old for Christmas. He loves it! All he wanted for Christmas was a backhoe. It’s interesting that the sound is made by pressing the back wheels and the steering wheel. Took a little to figure that out. The arm of the backhoe snapped off easily, but it went back on again. It seems pretty solid. I’m sure it will get played with hard and pieces will probably eventually break off, but it made his day anyway!
My son loves cars and when he received this his eyes lit up with happiness. the toy is just as pictured, and it will keep your child busy for at least 1 hour or more. Great item for the cost and i highly recommend. The toy is good quality
