Easy 30 second fix for a dying battery.
Not sure why this is considered a frequently returned item. I bet it’s because of people not ordering the correct battery for their infant optics system. Our battery stopped working after a few years so I ordered this one for the DRX8-PRO. I installed the new one and it immediately allowed for the monitor to turn on and shows charging when I plug the power cord in. Easy fix.
Old battery on the monitor was dying very quickly. Swapped this battery out (very easy) and now have long-lasting battery life again.
I was skeptical about this purchase after the hit or miss reviews. I was also surprised the actual infant optics brand battery was cheaper than a knock-off. Weâve had this for a few weeks now and itâs 100x better than the old battery. Holds a charge, doesnât make static noises anymore, and fits great. Weâve used the Infant Optics monitors and cameras for the last 6 years with no issues. Really good investment and beats paying over $100 for a new monitor.
Edit: I first charged it with the USB cable I also bought off Amazon. It must be going bad because once I fully charged it with the manufacturer charger the monitor came with, it stays charged! Finally!Have had my monitor for a little over 2 years. The past few months it has lost its charge and I have to keep it plugged in. Decided to buy this new battery to replace the old on. The first time I put it in, it was only 50% charged. No biggie, Iâll plug it in and charge it. Got it all charged and as soon as I unplugged it, it lost a bar in minutes. Very disappointed and will probably return.
