Please do not purchase this. I bought this for my new baby and it gives extremely incorrect temperatures. I checked my babes temp and it was 38.5, so I rechecked it again and it said 36.5. This is very dangerous to not be accurate when it comes to babies/kids. I had to give it one start, but if I could I would absolutely give it 0
Uses a proprietary sensor cover
Thermometer meets expectations with the exception of the sensor covers.There are 40 covers provided with the device. Covers are important: if you never replace them or use the thermometer without them, thereâs a chance for an eventual failure.The sensors that come with this device are different than the ones that come with the Braun ear thermometer. They are pretty thin/flimsy – I thought they were defective since the tips were all crinkled up (turns out they were ok, I just needed to pull them on snugly for them to mould to the tip).It does bother me that the instructions were a bit sketchy on this subject and I am worried that the person I bought this for is going to have trouble doing this right.What IS really annoying however is that replacements seem to cost more than the other ones (and, no, the Braun ones will not fit on this device) – paying more for less is not something I like. If you plan on changing covers often, you might want to think twice before buying.
