I bought this peg toy for my 5 year old son. He has a similar toy at his grandparents but they have sheets you put on and then copy the picture filling in the different coloured pegs. The thing I like about this one is that it only comes with a page of suggestions for projects and if you choose to do one of them, you have to follow the pattern closely and count the pegs well. It challenges an older childs spatial recognition which i really like about this, plus it encourages them to use their imagination to create their own peg pictures. My 5 year old really loved it.The only issues I have with it is that the plastic is a little flimsy but doesnât deter from the play. Also the picture suggestion page is only in Chinese so a translation to English/French would be appropriate for the Canadian marketIâve included a video so you can see the product in action. My son has found this to be a fun toy. He likes that he can use the pegs to make many different pictures and that they are dimensional.All the pegs fit in underneath the white cover that snaps on the top and so it make it easy to store everything. This is a great toy that works on children developing fine motor skills and problem solving skills. It allows the to manipulate the pegs and create a different picture each time they play. All in all this is a great learning and entertaining gift for any child.
