Bought this for my 6.5 month old daughter. We used it when she went for her first ever time in the pool and before she was put in the floaty she started crying instantly but…once I put her in the floaty she stopped crying, had one arm relaxed behind her head and was just floating around the pool with me pushing her around for an hour! She was even smiling and enjoying herself the entire time. Especially for a first time swim experience for a 6.5 month old, this floaty made is a positive experience as me and my family all agreed that without it she would have hated the pool! She seemed/felt very secure in the backstroke lounging position and when we were in the direction that she was facing the sun, it was nice that you could just angle the canopy to keep blocking out the sun. Only downside I’d say is that you have to hold the canopy if you want it more in front but that’s not a big deal for me as I’m with her holding the floaty the entire time anyways. It does take a bit to deflate as the seal is the type that you have to pinch in order to let the air out but I actually consider that to be more of a pro than a con because that gives me reassurance that it will never deflate while she is in it! No flipping either so that was great. Feels very sturdy and no tipping at all. Her legs were fully free to kick or just float so she wasn’t restricted. Definitely made her first experience in a pool a positive one and we will definitely be bringing this with us ANYTIME we go swimming in the future! I’d highly recommend to anyone and everyone. Oh, and my daughter is 14lbs and got the small size and it fit her perfectly with room to grow. She seemed extremely comfortable almost to the point of falling asleep if my nephews weren’t making a lot of noise haha.

Making a Splash of the Baby Float for Swimming
Just wanted to share my experience with this baby float. little one, initially unsure about water, took to it like a duck. The lounging position is super comfy for themThe build quality? Its ok, nothing to rave about. Sturdy and safe. The sunshade is a nice touch, but useless in my opinion.heads up, inflating it can be a bit of a workout as there are many valves for each compartment, and getting your baby in and out needs a bit (or lots) of practice. Also, deflating takes some time, but hey, worth it for the safety and fun it brings.Overall, recommend it for introducing your little one to swimming. It’s been a blast for us!

Was amazing for our trip and our 18 month old. Easy to pump up, great quality and adjustment straps were easy to use. They can be positioned either leaning forward or relaxed backwards all the while covered by the sturdy canopy with excellent coverage/shade. Highly recommend, we were glad we bought this ðð¼
It’s all plastic/rubber
Had I of known the straps were plastic, I would of went with something else. The kid doesn’t sit forward, like the picture, more up and down. Not easy to get the kid into it either, need two people to do it. I would definitely go with the mambo baby brand if I could repurchase. But it works, floats, the kid had fun in the pool.
Sun safe
The cover for shade is fantastic and I also like the inside harness. Great buy for a baby. Freedom to kick around and be safe from the rays.
12 month old loves it!
This floatie has been great for getting my little one comfortable in the pool. He loves the option of laying on his belly and kicking his feet unlike some floaties that are only for laying on your back. The straps work great for keeping them in safely but I wish the front bubble was a little bigger as he was able to tip himself forward. The sunshade is also a great addition. Was very easy to inflate and put together.
Uncomfortable and Unsafe
The floatie holds the baby in a very uncomfortable position for them, and it was very precarious and I didn’t trust it to hold her up without my hand also on it. She’s only 10kg (22lb), so well within the right weight range. The plastic strap also cut her leg while we used it. Unfortunately I waited too long to use it and missed the return date. Useless, uncomfortable, and unsafe.. skip this one for a different version
Would recommend. It took my baby a mintur to get comfortable in the floaty but, then again, everything is new to him. Once he settled in, it was fun in the sun all while staying safe, thanks to the shade cover! Floated well enough that a few adults took turna hanging onto it while baby was out of the pool. Great quality, functionality, and fun!
Seems like good quality plastic and it comes with that pump. But I thought it came with a little canopy as well based on the photo of the packaging. The item I received had the floaty on the pump unused, but I could not find any canopies. I guess that is separate? I needed something with a shade, so I sent it back.
