Pretty good as first impression
Bought because we have a second baby coming.Its a good upgrade from kodak and the 1080p for remote app is pretty darn good.Will see how it holds up but it seems good so far.
Disappointing connection
Horrible connection between parent unit and baby units. Set up was quick and easy. Units connected within a few moments. Great picture quality. Great sound. Easy to understand menu on parent unit.But on and off throughout the day and night kept loosing connection between the units, so had to take parent unit into room with baby unit, wait for reestablishing connection, which inconsistently worked. Unplugged all units. Turned everything off at the on switch, then tried to get a connection. After 3 days I am severely frustrated and going to return the whole thing. I expected better as Leap frog is well known for technology and was highly well reviewed. I had purchased a Hello Baby monitor and returned it due to pictures and sound quality was distorted, and bought this Leap Frog instead. At least the Hello Baby one connected all the time.

Constant connection issues
Not one to typically leave a review but want to warn others away from this product.We had constant connection issues with it (we have great Wifi so that wasnât the problem). Leapfrog replaced our unit after several weeks of emails and follow ups as the response time was slow on their end. The second system had similar issues, the picture quality was pixelated, and the sound detection was laggy when compared to our Hellobaby monitor (that we had to buy while we waited for Leapfrog to respond to our warranty claim). We also couldnât have more than one user on the app which was a big downside.For the price and potential this was really disappointing.
Good product
I just wished I could adjust the view with the controller rather than manually. This is my second monitor, and my first one you could move manually which I found more helpful incase I had to readjust it.
Works Great, easy setup
Everything about this works great. The only small issue is that it would be nice if the screen turned itself off automatically after a couple minutes. The battery runs out after a few hours if the screen is left on, which is easy to forget when night mode is on, or a toddler has played with it.
A week of little sleep.
We bought this product based on the good reviews and itâs highly rated background noise reduction. The picture quality is good and noise reduction is good. HOWEVER thatâs only when the unit actually works!! The monitor unit frequently disconnects from the cameras on both wifi and direct connection, the monitor is usually within 15 feet or less of the camera and modem. When it disconnects itâs beeps incessantly (which is good I suppose) and does not reconnect unless a complete reset is preformed. This is especially frustrating during the night, as youâre already sleep deprived with new baby. This product does not add peace of mind, it is not reliable and the range even when connected is terrible. We were given a 10 year old hand me down monitor which we wanted to upgrade from, unfortunately I would say this Monitor is a down grade. And to add insult to injury when I tried to return it it says itâs not eligible for return! Brutal! Itâs been the most frustrating week with this unit, and itâs going to be a frustrating week this week Iâm sure trying to get a refund. I do not recommend this unit at all.
Great quality monitor
Amazing night vision. Easy to set up and work. Love the ability to use the app as a handset and control the night light feature and take photos. Battery life on the handset seems to last a while and the distance between handset and monitor seems to be decent (can have the handset in the basement and the monitor on the top level and not have connection issues).My only complaint is how easily the monitors screen scratches! Itâs been a few months and itâs filled with little scratches everywhere.
I bought this as a gift. My daughter-in-law loves it! No complaints.
