Great little timer
I love that itâs magnetic. It is on the fridge and it makes transitions a lot easier. My kids respond very well to it.
Great concept but hard to operate
I like the idea of the timer but it is difficult to start the timerâ you have to turn it on and off and then oftentimes you also have to switch the time and the direction for it to work. It is supposed to flash when it starts but I have not found it very reliable. Then if the cloud button is pressed more than once it pauses and if you have it set for more than 1 minute you have to wait to see if it is going. It just misses the markIn the few ways so I ended up buying a different visual timer that is much easier to use.
Disappointed
I was excited to try the Learning Resources Rainbow Visual Timer, but it ended up being a letdown. The timer is not as intuitive to use as I had hoped making it frustrating to set the time and it doesnât always work. The sound is also too faint, even at its highest setting, making it difficult to hear in a busy environment not to mention it only beeps twice and then stops. Overall, I find it to be overpriced for the functionality it offers, and I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable, user-friendly timer.

Often the entire rainbow will light up and get stuck fully on
I bought this timer to help my toddler understand the concept of time. We frequently set timers for him to finish playtime, bath time, or even time out. This visual timer has been a game changer for us. He is able to have some sense of time by tracking the rainbow. The timer can show counting up (filling up rainbow) or counting down (rainbow fading in sections). It is easy to use and has preset times for 1, 3, 5, 10, and 15 minute intervals. You just slide the tab on the back to your desired length of time and choose counting up/down then press the button on the front to start the timer. The negatives I have with the timer is there is no digital time display for adults to see exactly how much time is left on the timer and you can only set it to the preset times.
Es muy bonito y se mira de buena calidad, muy robusto, pero francamente no sirve como temporizador, luce más como si fuera un simple juguete colorido para bebés y no para niños pequeños. Lo estuve probando y simplemente no logré que funcionara apropiadamente, a veces encendÃa y a veces no, me aseguré de que tuviera baterÃas nuevas y aún asà la luz es muy tenue y el volumen muy bajo. No llama nada la atención y el máximo de tiempo (15 mins) es demasiado poco para la mayorÃa de actividades a las que un niño pequeño se somete, simplemente no sirve. Es una lástima viniendo de esta marca, es un producto muy bien diseñado pero muy mal pensado; de diseño 10, de funcionalidad 2.
Die Kids bekommen durch das visuelle ein Gefühl für die Zeit. Egal ob noch noch 5 Minuten bis zum los gehen oder 15 Minuten fürs spielen. Ich würde mich über noch mehr Zeitoptionen freuen.
As a toddler mum, this timer has saved my sanity on multiple occasions. A great little product for helping with transitions.The segments of the rainbow light up to show time progressing and it can be set for different lengths of time.You can either count up or down, with the rainbow segments increasing or decreasing.It makes a little jingly sound when the time is up.As an Early Years teacher, I have used a big range of timers. This one, although a little gimmicky, worked like a charm, as long as itâs not over-used.
