Great replacement for an old metal cover
Replaced an old metal cover that broke. While I would have liked another metal one, the plastic quality is hefty and I was pleased with the install. Only complaint is one of the flaps doesnât spring as nicely as the other.
Direct fit
Fits perfect. Standard outdoor cover. Ended up drilling out the 4 holes from the back side to use the four screws to secure to the outdoor box. 1 screw just isn’t enough these days.

Did the job for low price
Was tricky installing as the covers snap down while trying to get the middle screw in to secure it need another set of hands to hold the covers up and out if your way while other person holds down bottom of plate while using screwdriver to secure plate have some patience and a helper!!

I ordered four of these along with the matching weather-resistant outlets to replace my old outdoor receptacles. These are easy to install and a perfect fit over Leviton outlets. These come with the foam insulation and 4 screws (even though you only need one) for installing. I wondered about the inclusion of 4 installation screws until I proceeded to drop two of the tiny things into a gravel-covered flowerbed and then I understood!
I had returned another one because it was flimsy plastic. But this one is very sturdy and made of metal. It does take an extra hand to hold the covers open while screwing it on. One thing I would like to see are covers that will lock open when needed.
