TWO WAYS TO PLAY – Crawl through the soft tunnel or enjoy ball play with spiral ball drops. Two kids can even play at the same time!
ADJUSTABLE TUNNEL – Durable, flexible-fabric crawl-through tunnel has side windows for peekaboo fun, and it collapses for easy storage.
BALL PLAY – Kids will flex their fine motor skills and practice hand-eye coordination as they drop 5 multicolored balls into two ball drop towers
SILLY SOUNDS – Balls activate sounds for added fun, or kids can press buttons to hear music.
PROMOTES DEVELOPMENT – Encourages crawling, reaching, grasping and color recognition.

At first, I was tempted to steer clear of this as it looked like what adults like me try to avoid – another big, plastic toy that would take up too much room. It is big, you won’t be able to fit it onto shelves but you can take the two ends and put them together to fold up the tunnel so it can stand on its own in a much smaller space. When you fold it out again, it becomes the type of toy adults like me actively seek. It is something that gets your kid moving and laughing and giggling while playing – but the playing isn’t just playing. The kids are testing cause and effect, putting the balls down different holes to see what happens. Where do they go? Will they make a sound? What sound? Then they do it all again to see if the same thing happens. They are testing cause and effect and they are learning STEM all at their own speed and level, plus using and refining their motor skills. We don’t post videos of the kids but if we did, you would see lots and lots of laughing and giggling. So this is a big toy – and in my book, the learning benefits and the fun are worth any possible aggravation due to storing a big toy. A couple tips: Assembly is simple enough but use the color picture on the box to either go along with or instead of the instructions as the instructions are minute, so so, and in black and white. Have a Phillips screwdriver ready and three AAA batteries. As the balls go through the different paths, it plays different sounds and the child can press one of three buttons to play music. There are two volume settings and an off setting. The age range appears accurate as the tunnel is small. However it can be pulled over by those who are unsteady and grab at it (under 1?). Size-wise, our almost three year old took up most of the room in it. His older siblings of 7 and 5 of very slight build could make it through but struggled. I personally like that the tunnel is short and has several “windows” so 1) kids can’t get away from me, 2) don’t get fearful, and 3) in the case of the windows, I can see them the whole time. Ultimately, it’s a simple toy that produces fun and results that, to me as a science teacher, are beyond simple.
Little Tikes is a well known, trusted brand. This particular toy provides everything it advertises. It features 2 ways to play, this tunnel will get kids crawling and engaging in ball play. There is a small window on the tunnel that you can play peek a boo through. At the end of the tunnel, there are two ball drop towers where kids can drop colorful balls. It comes with 5 balls. The tunnel has a flexible-fabric and the toy can collapse/fold up. The toy encourages crawling, reaching, grasping, color recognition, cause and effect, etc. Since it is collapsible and not a heavy toy, it may not provide stability if your child were to try to pull themselves up on it. It is recommended for 1-3 yrs old. Both my kids were walking by 10 months, so they weren’t pulling themselves up. My 1 yr old niece who is learning to walk and pulling herself up on things, didn’t have an issues. She loved it and was full of giggles.
Interactive fun for toddler especially the music and sound that reacts as the ball passes certain switches. The tunnel is also a favorite for crawling through to get away when being chased. The parts do not stay in place very well so frequently having to put it back in position gets tedious especially when your toddler hides the pieces also.
Little Tikes was my go to product for my children and now for my grandchildren. The directions were easy to follow and pieces were clearly lettered and fit together with no problems. The ties are long and smooth, so tying and untying isn’t a problem. I love that it is collapsible and durable, which makes it an ease to store and bring back out when they visit. However, until the kids get used to playing with the tunnel, itâs a good idea to observe them while playing so they donât try to pull themselves up or climb on the tunnel. It can tip over because itâs collapsible. The viewing window adds light and becomes a âlook outâ during imaginative play. There are 3 colorful balls, perfect for little hands, included that can be dropped into two different towers making this a multi-function product that promotes eye-hand coordination, and both fine and gross motor skills for toddlers. And, the sound activation is an added bonus. It catches the kidsâ attention and encourages play. My 18 month old grandchild was crawling through it, peeking out the window, playing with the ball towers and running around it and through it within minutes of taking it out of the box. I have a feeling, itâll be moving outside with us once the weather warms up, for added hours of imaginative play. I may love this âtoyâ more than the grandchildren⦠keeps them busy and engaged which means Grandma can catch a breather.
My 19-month-old daughter loves this tunnel! She’s been creatively using it as a fortress for her toy figures since we put it together. Assembly was super easy and the directions weren’t even needed. I deeply appreciate how collapsible it is because she already has far too many space-taking toys. I know another person says it tips over, but we haven’t experienced that. Even if it did, It’s not heavy enough to cause harm. I’m glad I found this and would purchase it from Amazon or a local store again for a baby shower without hesitation.
