If you need to know temps of different things for work to to test if things are at proper temp get this. Much cheaper than buying else where and works just as good and name branded items.

We go thru a lot of these in the field. This one is holding up well. Accuracy is good, includes battery. The guys like it!
Reads lower then actual temperature
I tested this laser temperature gun on known temperatures to gauge its accuracy and it came close (within a few degrees F) of the expected temperature results. Boiling water was accurate, my freezer (set at 0F) resulted in a reading 2F, and burning paper came in at 456F. The gun has a red laser dot to help you with targeting which can be turned on/off at your discretion. I opted to calculate the average of readings as the displayed temperature fluctuates but there are also minimum and maximum reading settings as well. You can use this thermometer to measure the temperature of ceiling height AC vents, electrical panels and outlets (to see if overheating is occurring), on car engines (to test cooling/diagnose overheating issues), cold spots in insulated areas, and on food to determine if it’s cooked or undercooked. It’s a great tool to have.
