I love it!
I originally saw this at Indigo years ago. It was bigger and I think it was wooden.This one is smaller and made out of a thick plastic. I actually like this one better as I think itâs easier to fidget with, especially with one hand if needed.It is recommended for ages 3+, so a child would easily be able to use it. It is a little tricky to make the different shapes like pictured on the back. It doesnât squeak and doesnât feel like itâs going to break apart.Itâs one of my pricier fidgets, but quality and durability seem to be worth it.Overall I would highly recommend this is you are looking for a different kind of fidget than the classic popper. As someone who has severe ADHD and multiple types of fidgets, this is definitely one I am happy to add to the collection.

Very stiff movement
The idea as a fidget toy is a bit lost with how stiff the movements are between the spheres on this. It requires attention to twist and position where you want them, vs the brand name company’s versions that roll around effortlessly in your hands.The balls are two piece plastic that are snapped together (unsure if glued or just pressed together), and some are misaligned or not completed snapped in place. This will be problematic for cleaning (grubby, sticky, bacteria-ridden child fingers and mouths, and the like).I would probably recommend a different brand or getting in-person from a toy store to inspect first.
Durable and easy to use
I had hoped to find wooden rainbow beads, however this plastic version was surprisingly sturdy and quite similar to the ones I was looking for!
A fun toy for children of all ages
I am a big kid at heart who loves both puzzles and colorful things. Needless to say, I had to give these a try. Though not a puzzle in the sense that you have to solve it, I have rather enjoyed playing with this like a fidget toy and seeing how many different shapes I can make from it. For the amount of use I’ve gotten out of it in the few months that I’ve had it I would definitely consider it worth the current price point of $19.77 CAD.The toy is made up of 20 thick, hard plastic balls of uniform size that are pretty brightly colored. There are 10 colors In all, with 2 balls of each color. The way the colors progress throughout the toy reminds me of looking at a color wheel. Each of the balls is connected to two other balls, one of which is the same color and one being the next color in the color wheel. The balls are all connected using a joint rather than being magnetic.Being interconnected the way they are, the balls can be molded in too many different shapes. Examples of many can be found on the back of the box and I have made a few that aren’t. At least one of the shapes has a practical purpose such as being a mobile phone holder. It could also work as a large bangle type bracelet for someone with a small enough wrist. Unfortunately, my hands are just a bit too big to get through.This would make a great gift for kids obviously, but also adults who just like to play around with little puzzles and fidget toys. I wouldn’t recommend it to very young children due to the fact they may not have the manual dexterity to be able to move the balls around in the tight way they are put together. Also, the plastic is very hard so you wouldn’t want them swinging it around and possibly hurting themselves with it.

If you’re contemplating the purchase of these puzzle balls, I’d strongly recommend considering a slightly higher investment for the wooden variants, as the plastic ones, in my opinion, seem a bit overpriced for their quality and lack the same allure.In summary, if you’re on the hunt for a truly satisfying and entertaining tactile encounter, it might be wise to explore alternative options, particularly if you had anticipated a magnetic aspect.
