The Magic Sleepsuit is a patented swaddle transition product that helps transition babies from the swaddle by providing them with a cozy, secure feeling. The Magic Sleepsuit was created by a mother of four who is a pediatric physical therapist to improve the quality and duration of her babies’ sleep. The Magic Sleepsuit is designed for back sleeping in the bare crib only in a room at the recommended temperature for babies. The Magic Sleepsuit should not be used for co-sleeping, or with any sleep positioners.
The Magic Sleepsuit has a soft, breathable jersey cotton inner layer, a soft microfleece or cotton outer layer and a layer of polyfil in between for just enough comfort. The Magic Sleepsuit is designed to be introduced at approximately three months of age when babies are transitioning from the swaddle or smaller sleep space. Proper fit and timing of introduction are critical to the safety and effectiveness of the Magic Sleepsuit. Babies should be transitioned out of the Magic Sleepsuit when they roll over or try to roll over in it and are ready for more freedom of movement in their sleep.

Ideally, you should wait to begin using the Magic Sleepsuit until your baby is transitioning from the swaddle and fits properly into the Magic Sleepsuit. Proper fit of the Magic Sleepsuit is critical for its safety and effectiveness. When the Magic Sleepsuit fits properly, the scooped neck will lay flat on the baby’s chest, away from the face and baby should not have the ability to pull their arms and/or legs inside the Sleepsuit. . If the Sleepsuit is too big it will not provide the cozy, secure feeling necessary for sucess.

Worth the Hype
Put this on my 6 week old after struggling with getting my newborn to sleep despite trying traditional swaddles, velcro swaddles and the nested bean swaddle. While I could get my son to sleep he still managed to wake himself up due to his startle reflux.Magic Merlin worked wonders, little bubs slept a solid 5-6 hours before waking up for a feed at 4am and settling back in for another 3 to 4 hr stretch. First night was a hit and was the only time I got a solid 8 hr stretch Lool.Donât get me wrong Iâve had some nights around 11 weeks, and 13 weeks where heâs woken up 3x a night in spite of the suit but I would chalk it up to developmental milestones + sleep regressions but as of right now heâs gone back to his normal routine at 15 weeks. FYI also my kid hates getting into the suit would recommend going up to the next size up. For reference my little one was 12lb 3 oz at 6 week.Iâll be transitioning to a sleep sack most likely in the coming month and wonât likely need to go up a size.Hope this helps any sleep deprived momma out there. Worth the money!!
Believe the hype
My baby just turned 3 months & due to him starting to roll we needed to transition from swaddle to something he could push up in. I read about this sleep suit on many mommy boards, and when coming across it on Amazon I figured we would give it a shot. From Day1 my son was swaddled and WOULD NOT sleep in anything else. Tonight is our first night using Merlin, and as you can see, he is out like a light. I absolutely love this and will probably buy backups as well.
Worth a shot
This suit did absolutely nothing for my first baby. For my second, it got him sleeping 8 hours straight within two days. I say a 50% success rate is pretty good when it comes to baby sleep contraptions.

Life saver

Good quality, our baby is 3 months and itâs snug on him already as heâs quite a big baby, so I think weâll be moving up in the sizes!Been a massive help throughout leap 4 as our baby has outgrown his âsleepyheadâ – because itâs weighted, it offers the same sensation of being cuddled, so heâs now able to take himself off to sleep in the Next 2 Me and is now only waking once during the night!
This is a genius product. My son KEPT waking himself up with his jerky arm movements in a sleep sack and at 3 months kept busting out of his swaddle. This – after a day or so to get used to it – has meant that he can still move his arms but the jerkiness is so toned down it doesn’t wake him up. I’ve bought 2! Thank you so much for inventing it!
The Baby Merlin’s Magic Sleepsuit has been a lifesaver for us. My son broke out of every swaddle we purchased (upwards of 7), but he still had the startle reflex and needed for that to be muffled in order for him to sleep well. I was a little wary about this sleepsuit, because I figured that with his arms not tight to his sides, there was no way he would sleep through the night; boy, was I wrong. After putting my son in this suit, he slept 12 hours straight through the night (at 9 weeks). I’ve never looked back. This suit allows him a little more freedom of movement, but it thick enough to muffle his startle reflex. I say this is a must have for any baby!
