This set of magnet tiles is an affordable way to add several more pieces to your collection. The quantity of included tiles is similar to most starter sets, with a pretty average cost per tile. While you might accordingly think of this kit as a starter set, it strikes me as more of an add-on set.There are a few unique / advanced pieces in this kit that many other sets don’t have, expanding on the possibility of what you can build and how much details you can add to your designs. The pentagon shape, the shapes with click-in doors and windows, and to a lesser degree one of the triangle shapes – these are all less commonly found in the average set. While you don’t get a ton of them here, it’s enough to try them out and see what building opportunities they allow for.As with most magnet tile sets of this design, they’re compatible with all the other kits I have – spanning nearly a dozen different brands. The magnets function well, and the tiles are as durable and comfortable to interact with as any others. The tiles themselves are fairly basic & run of the mill – detailed with a simple square inset, where some others have prisms and similar design elements that add durability or visual appeal.Nevertheless, this kit stands out for the unique tiles included. I wouldn’t necessarily get it as a starter kit, and I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it as a bulk way to increase the number of tiles you have to build with. However, I would consider it as an affordable way to add a few new tiles to your collection, try some new types of tiles out, and expand the variety of designs you can build.
Really nice magnet tile set. My kids really enjoy playing with these for hours on end. It really fun to watch them learn engineering skills, as they run into problems and have to troubleshoot solutions with these toys. They really get creative with these, incorporating their other toys, such as building garages for their cars or homes for their dolls. This set has windows that open, so that is a really cool feature many of the other magnet tile sets do not include.This is a really good quality magnet tile set. It feels very sturdy. It’s compatible with our other magnetic tile toys. The tiles are a good size. The colors are very vibrant. I think this is a good value for the price.
These pieces are pretty big and heavier than expected. They were fun to play with, but some of the shapes were not optimal. For example, the triangle shapes in this set are very long, some shorter or equilateral triangles would have worked better for trying to build with the square pieces. It’s also annoying that you really can’t build most of the building ideas in the accompanying booklet without buying additional sets.
We have a couple magnetic blocks from a smaller Picasso Set and adding this batch to our collection ended up being a great idea. I’m very pleased with the assortment. This is a great set on it’s own and even better when adding it to a set that you may already have.
This is my review of the Magnetic Tile Rocket Set 36 Piece Construction Toy PicassoTiles Magnet Building Block Engineering STEM Learning Playset Child Brain Development Stacking Kit Window Door Playboard for All Ages 3 and Up. I ordered this set because the rocket ship is SO clever, and is something we didn’t have in our collection. It’s really cool! Also, I ordered this set hoping they would work well with our other sets that all work with the big-name brand magnetic blocks. This set also works well with them and the magnets are all in the same general area but aren’t exact.
