Very challenging
My grand daughter found this very challenging. We have put this away for a rainy day and will try it again
We bought this for our eight year old granddaughter. She was able to put most of it together by herself. It looked cool when it was finished and she loved it. It is made of durable material. The wings and head are hinged to be movable. I would purchase one of the bigger animals again.I also bought the praying mantis. The pieces were way too small and delicate for her to put together. My husband actually did the work. It did look cool when finished.
This 3-D snow owl is very cool gift for a craft loving person. Good for young teen and upwards for sure.It’s essentially card board piece punch outs that can be assembled to some basic instructions.I would say to be careful with some of the punch-out pieces, just meaning don’t try and force as some have some narrow pieces you want to be careful with.Assembly can be a bit challenging, some thought as to the instructions are written is required, but doable for sure, made it slightly more interesting to me.The wing and head can be moved post assembly, but do note that overall this isn’t a super sturdy final piece, but that’s entirely to be expected here, but just making a note that I had some pieces that just didn’t want to stay and slowly fall away.The effort alone is fun and worth this low price for sure, will give a good chunk of fun crafting and building.
My 8 yo wasn’t interested unfortunately but my husband and I had fun building it. Very well made with quality materials. Would make an excellent gift.
The parts look really nice and easy to assemble on plain 2D, but the moment you have to bend and create that 3 D look- the hard part comes in! Looks good but really hard to het through the half way of the project.
The pros, very amazing detail on the paper. Thick enough to work with but not so thick it is impossible. The overall design of the instructions is helpful. The cons, definitely for an older kid, my son is 6 so we started doing this together and I felt my irritation and anxiety being increased which is not good when you are trying to have fun. The pieces are difficult to arrange so that they fit the way the instructions guide. It kept coming apart. I decided it was probably better I do this a little later with my son, and in small sections. We have done a lot of the wood sculptures you can get from Harbor freight for a dollar and compared to them this is way more advanced. We plan on doing this again this weekend for about 20-30 minutes together. We may need to see if there is an easier one to work on, if we buy the other animals this company creates. In the mean time we are sticking with our lego building and use this as an add-on project.
