  1. Very Impressed!
Just as advertised!Very fast shipping got on next day delivery which was a life saver. The quality is fantastic and will keep me warm and comfortable! Very easy to assemble to your jacket. Very adjustable to the size you want and many way to achieve the adjustment. My jacket has an inner and outer zip up and works best on the inner zip up personally, however it fit perfectly on the longer outer zip up as well (it was a bit big for me, but it will work when I baby wear). Love that it comes with a built in fleece lining and a removable fleece linking on top for extra warmth. Also can be used on a man’s jacket for baby wearing!Instructions were pretty easy to follow and gives good tips how to make it fit your jacket. The one thing is you will have to take off zippers from one side of your jacket, easy to take off and on.I still had an extra piece that I didn’t need to assemble but most jackets probably will. On the adapter piece you will have to take off the fasteners first when putting on the adapter and then reapply the fasteners to secure the adapter to your jacket and keep it in place but very easy to do!Amazing product worth the money!Very spacious and adjustable to be bigger or smaller. My jacket is a medium, I am in my third trimester 163 pounds (original weight is 130), I am 5’2. If that helps anyone.

  2. One of the best investments for a winter pregnancy
Due in February, this was such a relief to have in cold Canadian winters. During the second trimester I used only just the side strips that attach to the jacket, and that made my coat more comfortable. But after the third trimester or so, I needed to use the full panel. At first the full panel seemed too large, but the snaps at the top allow you to make it narrower. A small downside is that my neck was more exposed to the cold, but I just used a scarf to make up for it. It fits on both my rain coat and winter coat.I was concerned that this product is a bit expensive, but after using it, it is worth every penny. It makes things SO much more comfortable.

  3. Hooks broke my coat’s zipper
Did what it intended but one of the hooks broke off some of the zipper grooves so I couldn’t use it anymore. The item itself held up quite well. Little expensive to buy both this product and a replacement coat though.

  4. Worth the purchase
Just so pleased with how well this fits my jacket and the options for expanding the size depending on how far along you are. Wasn’t sure about it at first with the price but it’s worth the purchase!

  5. Great product
Fit on the winter jacket perfect. Bought it for a gift.she loves it.

  6. The price is kind of worth it.
I was pretty hesitant to buy this. It’s like 30-50 dollars cheaper than a whole maternity coat. I went ahead because I just bought a brand new winter jacket last winter and it seemed wasteful to get another one for the 2-3 months I’ll be pregnant in the winter. I’m not disappointed by any means. The quality of this insert is top notch!. It comes with a Sherpa removable panel, and I do like the idea of being able to zip my baby up in my coat when I wear her (in the future). The insert fit my chunky zipper coat without the need for the D brackets it came with. I don’t actually need the middle panel right now at 8.5 months pregnant, unless I’m wearing a thick sweater under my coat. So the two little side panels provided enough extra room for my belly. It’s water repellent and the zipper is smooth. 10/10 on the product… 6/10 on the price. Us momma’s have enough to worry about buying 😅 worth it I guess!

  7. Grateful to extend any jacket…
…But it makes the jacket look too big and looks terrible when using the buttons to cinch it. I’m not going to return because I’m glad I have a temporary solution without buying a whole new jacket. I just wish there was a better way to size it.Maybe it will be better when I’m babywearing.

  8. Worth it!
I stalled for months not wanting to spend the money, since it costs almost as much as a new coat. Glad I finally caved. The quality is awesome. Super easy to install or switch to a different coat.Only downside is that it does not fit the zipper on my “Noize” jacket, but I had a different jacket I could put it on.

  9. The MakeMyBellyFit Universal Jacket Extender for Maternity and Babywearing is a game-changer for expectant mothers and parents who live in cold climates. As a soon-to-be mom, this innovative accessory quickly became a staple in my wardrobe. One of the standout features of the extender is its versatility. It effortlessly transforms any regular winter jacket into a maternity jacket, providing extra room for a growing belly without sacrificing style or comfort. The adjustable design ensures a perfect fit throughout pregnancy, allowing me to continue wearing my favorite outerwear with ease. But the benefits don’t end there. Once baby arrives, the extender serves as a convenient solution for babywearing. It creates a cozy cocoon for my little one, keeping them warm and snug against my chest while we’re out and about. The extender’s compatibility with various baby carriers makes it a versatile option for parents who enjoy babywearing.Installation is a breeze, thanks to the extender’s simple and intuitive design. It attaches securely to any jacket using the included zipper adapters, ensuring a snug and seamless fit.Overall, this is a must-have accessory for expectant mothers and babywearing parents alike. Its versatility, comfort, and ease of use make it an invaluable addition to any maternity wardrobe, allowing for stylish and functional outerwear throughout pregnancy and beyond.

  10. I purchased this to use as a coat extender during my winter late pregnancy (7 months in Nov, due in late Jan). I liked the idea of a coat extender rather than a maternity coat because I could keep using my old winter coat. I also liked this product because I will be able to wear the baby under my coat after it is born to keep it warm (not having to lug around a giant car seat around). I saw this as about the same price investment as a maternity coat would cost. So far (during pregnancy), I’ve liked this product! The coat extender comes with two adapters, which slide on over the zippers (see the first picture). It also includes some clips to keep the adapter pieces from sliding around, which I read can be an issue in a review on another website. With the clips, I haven’t had this problem. I placed the clips between two adapter bits near the top of the zipper. I can fit into my coat with just the adapter pieces (second picture) so am wearing it like that now. I have also gone a few days with wearing the coat extender insert (third picture). I wouldn’t call it the most attractive piece of clothing I own. There is a fleece liner that snaps into the coat extender piece for extra warmth, which I’ve appreciated on some of the cold(ish) days we’ve had recently (about 10-20 degrees F, -12 to -6 degrees C). The zipper was a little difficult to zip at first, mostly because you have to really push the two pieces together before you start zipping. The jacket extender is about the same length as my coat, but I find it more comfortable to wear the top folded over (see the fourth pic) as the material bunches up a bit around the neck (fifth pic). It is really easy to keep the top folded because the top snaps pair with the lower snaps. I’m anticipating that after the baby is born, it will be easy to either wear the baby with the extender zipped in, or to remove the extender and wear with the adapter pieces. I also like that my spouse may be able to wear the baby if we slide the adapter pieces on over his coat, though that may take more effort with an infant than we are willing to make! I’m looking forward to seeing how this coat extender will work for my changing family.

  11. It says “works with most” but doesn’t tell you which brands “most” is. For my North Face, I had to cut my own jacket at the top of the zipper to feed the adjuster — it wouldn’t work otherwise. I also couldn’t insert 2 of the D clips to hold the adjuster in place, as the teeth on North Face are bigger than it seems they made this adjuster for. I was able to fit one, after a lot of hassle. In addition, flipped to ‘maternity’-style (narrow on top) with the adjuster panels, the spacing between my coat at the neck is huge — and the material is a lot thinner than a winter coat, so my neck’s pretty much fully exposed to the elements without a big scarf. It’d be nice if this came with a few narrower panel options to graduate between instead of having to jump from small (adjuster panels only) to xl (the insert) — especially for how much this costs. The little elastic with buttons only works for one part of the panel, not the full length. I’m glad to have something that allows me to wear my winter coat as I grow, but for the money, this should be a lot more than what it is.

  12. Got this to be able to wear my baby at the Christmas Markets in Germany. It fits my winter coat and keeps my baby warm and dry. Love it

  13. Doesn’t work with Columbia or 32 degrees. Have yet to try my north face items because I’m afraid to ruin them by forcing the zipper.Save your money, this is not a universal product.
