I bought this for my spectra s1 when I received it as I wanted to use my medela and dr brown plastic bottles with the pump as well. Fits snugly and securely and Iâve had no issues with leaking or anything like that. Takes two seconds to put on and take off. Definitely worth it for anything that makes pumping a little more convenient.

I had a Medela pump with my first baby but decided to get the Spectra S1 for this baby. I have a whole bunch of Medela pump bottles I didnât want to just throw away but the Spectra nozzles donât fit on the bottles, these thread changers worked perfectly so I could re-use the Medela bottles with the spectra pump! Very happy!

Leaks!
They fit Medela bottles, which is what I needed to convert my Spectra 1. I find they leak quite badly and milk gets caught in the threads. Iâve tried re-threading, re-positioning, holding them while pumping not using my pumping braâ¦.always leaked every time Iâve pumped. I have seen other complaints about this, maybe a faulty batch. I recommend because they fit but I donât recommend because they leak.
With my first child I had a Medela pump and so had a stock pile of Medela bottles for breast milk refrigerator storage. I also had adapters for my Medela flanges that would attach directly to my Tommee Tippee bottles for direct bottle pumping as we used those to feed our first child.With our current family addition, I’m using a Spectra S2 and wanted to leverage all of the stockpiled bottles, etc. I used with my prior pumping efforts. These adapters supported that need! So far, three weeks into use, they still fit well with my Spectra flanges and Medela bottles as well as supports the use of the Tommee Tippee adapter to pump directly into those bottles. The latter has a two adapter in tandem experience and so makes it heavier thus I’d recommend some careful attention while pumping and some extra hand support if you’re pumping hands free.So far no leaks but I’m extra careful when setting the bottles down (first detaching the tubing from the flange) when done pumping to minimize some accidental tumbles. I did have one knock over of a bottle with these adapters in place and a Medela bottle and thankfully no leaks though milk does then find its way into the thread area which results in some small loss of liquid gold when transferring no matter how much tapping you do (pumping mommas know the tap dance performed with certain pump parts following a pumping session!). I now have a variety of other standard opening feeding bottles and these adapters support easy attachment to those as well.Based upon my experience thus far, I would purchase again.Update 2/23/17: These adapters are still holding up well. I’ve had no leaks with them thus far. Also added some pictures to this review to show use of the adapter with a Spectra flange and a Medela collection bottle as well as the adapter doubled up with the Medela to Tommee Tippee adapter to attach directly to a Tommee Tippee bottle.
I have lots of medela bottles but only 4 that fit my spectra. These adapters mean that i can pump straight into my medela bottles rather than having to pour the milk into medela bottles to store so I can still use my spectra ones. It’s saving me a lot of time in terms of washing and sterilising.The only down side is they will leak slightly if you tilt the bottles while pumping.
These work well for what is advertised, but have no suction so if you moved wrong, like spill a bit of milk while pumping or carrying, they will leak.I recommend this product, just be careful when moving with them.
These adapters work to adapt the baby buddah flanges to the medela narrow neck bottles or the small collection tubes
Used these adapters with my spectra S2. Love that I can pump directly into regular mouth glass Mason jars (which I use with Mason Bottle nipples). I saved $$ on pumping parts by not needing to purchase plastic bottles to pump into. Less plastic, less cleaning – happy mama.
