An easy to use nail trimmer for tiny babies – definitely beats nibbling on their fingernails or risking injury is they wiggle their fingers too much around a bladed trimmer! No pain if it touches skin, the sound isn’t troubling to the baby – it’s a great little tool for the diaper bag especially if someone is babysitting!
I have another little electric nail file similar to this but I wanted to try this one and see if it worked any better. This one takes two AAA batteries (my other is rechargeable). Some people probably don’t like the disposable battery style but I always have AAA batteries on hand for various other items so it’s not an issue for me. This file seems to have just as much power as my rechargeable one and it will stop spinning if too much drag/force is put against the sanding disc. I got this geared mainly toward babies and small children so I wish there where extras of the finer discs in place of some of the coarser ones that I will probably never use. Overall it’s pretty easy for me to operate and reasonably ergonomic. I like the little storage case that comes with it.
Ordered this for my sister-in-law who is petrified of cutting my nephews nails. This allows her to keep his babies trimmed without the need for a nail clipper. Super easy to use, battery is great on it after a full charge you’ll get days of use. Def recommend if gifting for a baby shower.
This is a very nice nail trimmer. I love the presentation of it. It is adorable and I love the bright colors. It comes in a compact, see through case. It is a lot smaller than I had anticipated which makes it much easier to maneuver and get the proper angle for nails. It is easy to hold. This trimmer require 2 AAA batteries which are not included.Another thing I love about this trimmer is it is whisper quiet even at the higher speed. I have to be honest, I am using this nail trimmer on my dog’s nails. I use a dog nail clipper to cut my dog’s nails but it leaves her nails with sharp edges and a lot of times doesn’t cut the nail cleanly. This trimmer does an excellent job of buffing out the sharp edges and unevenness and because it is so quiet, my dog doesn’t mind when I use it on her. I like having the different grit discs for fine tuning the nails.Overall, while I know this trimmer is for babies, it works really well in helping me keep my dog’s nails in check so they don’t have jagged edges that can cause painful splitting. This is a great, self contained nail buffing kit that is not only functional but it is adorable. It would make a terrific gift for new parents and pet parents!
