Disappointed
I usually love all things Melissa and Doug. Iâm really disappointed in this puzzle. The pictures printed on look cheap and sloppy, and Iâm most disappointed with the sound function. The sound functions work, which is great. The magnet which is used as a sensor to make the sound go when the correct piece is placed in the puzzle is way too sensitive. My toddler merely placed a piece over an incorrect spot (not in it), and the puzzle board starts going off with the incorrect vehicle noise. In my opinion, it should only make the noise if contact is made by the piece being correctly placed.
This product is fun and well made ! The only thing is the directions say make sure it is in light for the sounds to work and that is true, parts of my basement are dim and the sounds didnât work in that light.

Love the theme and colors. Sound works great. When you put a piece on, it makes that vehicle sound. When you put another right away, it will not start a new sound unless the other sound completed. Just an FYI.
My daughter loves this puzzle but it is kind of loud. The little pegs obviously hurt when they are stepped on. Sometimes the puzzle goes off when the light in the room drastically changes. So you need to put it away every night or cover it if you don’t want to hear random sirens or honking late at night. But this happens for all sound puzzles. Fyi
My son loves it but the sounds do not work on the one we received. We put fresh batteries in it, but it still wonât make sounds. But Iâm not sure he even knows itâs supposed to make noises but heâs playing with it and likes it regardless. So itâs still a good gift for my 3 year old.
