Very Sturdy
I purchased this gate to keep my dogs out of the basement and needed something adjustable that didnât require drilling into the wall or the one side of my stairs because has a wooden railing I wanted to protect. This gate was easy to assemble and install, and I was pleasantly surprised by how sturdy it is, even without being screwed into the wall. The gate opens and closes smoothly, and my dogs (30 lbs and 55 lbs) havenât been able to push it down like they have with other models. For the price, it seems very safe and it is very functionalâI highly recommend it!
Excellent.
Everything about this gate is excellent. We brought home a Great Dane 11 months ago. I installed first one to keep her in tiled pantry (she was little back then!). Easy install, solid gate, with great âlatchingâ when it auto-closes (adjustable). Loved it so much I bought two moreâ¦.. we have both pantry doors gated and one controls staircase down to basement. All working so well, we will keep them in placeâ¦. cats can jump over, but generally do not, and Dane has never tried to scale, or even lean against them. But what impresses me is the solidness â¦.. because gate frame is wedged into door jams, it is held in place solely by bottom rung on the floor. It works well!
Gate for our puppies
We ordered these gates to keep the puppy away from the rooms and kitchen. The gate is easy to install and work well. The only issue I have is to open it you need to release a very small latch at the bottom of the gate. Which is difficult when you have items in your hands. This is the reason I gave it a 4 stars

DO NOT BUY THIS
If you have a wide hall, mine was 55″, then forget about this. It says that it can go up to 57″ if extenders are maxed at 2.75″ on each side but it was not the case. Besides, there is only .25″ of the bolts (which don’t thread in and frustrated a lot of other customers) to keep it held up and it is way to flimsy.DO NOT BUY IF YOU INTEND NEAR THE MAX WIDTH
Looks great
This gate is sturdy and safe and easily expands to fit the stair opening. Love that it is semi-permanent with a swinging gate. Will definitely keep in in place for a couple of years. Attractive black wrought iron appearance compliments the decor of the room.
Excellent quality build and operation
We purchased this product to keep our new puppy out of our family room and I have to say it is one of the better products weâve purchase recently. The install was pretty straight foreword with good instructions. Our granddaughters ages six and eight can both easily open it. Another great feature aside from the quality is the fact the gate closes on its own unless fully opened.I was so impressed with the operation and quality i thew out the box it came in the day after it arrived.

This gate is very sturdy and durable for a toddler and even a medium to large sized dog. It swings both ways, and has two latch features that my 16 month old cannot open if she tries. I donât worry about her falling into the gate and it falling over. Easy installation and bought a second one!
Well made gate which is holding up well so far.
1. As advised do not remove zip ties because upper portion of door springs out. I removed door on stairs later to allow workman to carry materials upstairs. Reinstalment difficult because of above. Strong suggestion – provide more zip ties and advise to reapply them before removing the door. Small issue – the lower brace for an extension slips off during installation. It would help if it fit more firmly or could snap in place. I would buy again because this is a sturdy door that works well and the slight problems do not affect the eventual result.
