this thing is a poorly designed piece of garbage considering the price. literally 15-20 minutes before the battery runs out, it starts beeping loudly every 10 seconds and there is no way to turn off the beeping. the panning is very slow and the controls are inconvenient, there is no auto-pan, it regularly glitches and needs to be reset

This is a good quality baby monitor that does everything described and more.Even though it works perfectly most of the time it has its weird moments where it loses connectivity for no reason.a quick fix is to reboot the monitor.Another annoying point is the blinking LED on the side that you cannot turn off on the camera.I have the camera wall mounted on top of the crib but the blinking keeps getting reflected on the wall so I had to tape over it.Another minor annoyance is that the monitor’s resolution is smaller than using the app on your phone.When my son disappears off the monitor screen I can check on him using my phone which displays a wider angle.The last thing worth mentioning is the “LED” feature right under the camera lens. It sometimes turns on by itself even though we have it off in the settings.I wish the motion detector was better. When my son is fidgeting around I cannot track his movements. It only detects when he put him in bed and when we take him out (or when we open the curtains).The battery life is good, and so is the audio quality on the monitor.It’s worth considering that any kind of video recording will require an addon paid subscription.
Love the screen and clarity, and the mobility
I like this monitor and that it is the handheld option as well as wifi should I need it- I would of given this monitor a 4. however itâs quite frustrating when my toddler takes the handheld screen and hides it- there seems to be No way to page it- and so now Im week 3 with out it. Also it has a time delay of about 10 seconds which I find strange, There should be a paging option for when itâs misplaced Which Iâm sure happens often for others as well- and there should be no time delays…. thatâs just weird and annoying
Completely Useless Product
Do not buy this. We got this because we thought Hubble by Motorola knew how to make a functional toddler cam. What we got instead was an absolutely useless piece of junk that didnt integrate with our other Hubble by Morotola products or apps, couldnt even capture a twin bed in one shot, and can barely pan enough to capture the second twin size trundle bed right next to it. The camera provides 2 zoom options: 1x zoom, which is already too zoomed to be useful, and 2x zoom which would only be necessary if you wanted to monitor a specific quadrant of your toddlers pillow. The ‘contact us’ links in the app only link to emails that give an ’email not monitored’ autoreply.Whatever goons designed this at Motorola clearly never had kids, and never cared to do any product testing with people who do. Sadly, the returns window has expired because we had to wait for our bed to arrive before deciding where the camera was going to go, and now we are left with a $300 paperweight and two holes 6 1/2 feet up our wall where it was mounted.

Like it a lot. Bought it after looking for one with a monitor and also able to connect to ipone. However, we have been struggling with connecting to iphone, and the battery life is not the best.
We have had this camera just over a month now. I wanted to wait and try it out before I posted a review. We currently sleep with the baby in a pack n play in our room but he also has a crib in his room. During the day i put him in the crib and at night he is in the pack n play. The camera is easily mounted so we just put a screw in both walls and move it back and forth if necessary. (Second camera just doesnt seem worth the money since he will be on is own soon).The sound quality is a little off. It seems to pick up my dog drinking water down the hall better then my son crying. But the video quality is spectacular. The night vision is amazing. We are currently sleep training and I am scared something will happen to him (always scared). And I was worried about the dark room but nope, i can see him.Some people complain about the blinking blue light, you can turn this off in the settings section. I personally like it so I feel a sense of privacy. I reallllly wanted to like this monitor. I have no need for anything fancy, I just want to consistently see and hear my baby when they are asleep, I could care less about additional features or add ons.This monitor DOES NOT WORK.I repeatedly have connectivity issues between the camera and the parent monitor. Last night alone, it disconnected 4 TIMES OVERNIGHT. The only way to get it to reconnect is by unplugging the camera which is located in a SLEEPING BABY’S ROOM, waiting five minutes, and then replugging it in…sometimes not even that works! We have also lost sound completely requiring a reset as well.I contacted customer service who walked me through all the reset steps again, and again after I explained that we had completed all reset and repairing processes (on the camera, parent unit, and app) repeatedly. They did offer a replacement, but only if we ship them our faulty monitor and they receive and test it. This is completely unacceptable – I am supposed to send in a monitor (during a nation wide mail delay), wait for them to test it, and then mail me back a replacement…the whole time while NOT HAVING A BABY MONITOR.For a product that is developed solely to monitor the safety of your baby while sleeping, this concept is ridiculous. I asked for a refund or credit if they cannot give a replacement – nope, they can’t do that either.Their suggestion was to “borrow from a friend” while I wait for the replacement. I’m sorry, we are in the middle of global pandemic…resources like “borrowing from a friend” are not readily available nor do we have local friends or family to borrow from even if we weren’t in a state of social distancing and stay at home orders.I am beside myself with both the problems with this monitor as well as the response from customer services. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your money – for a product intended to reduce anxiety and increase the safety of a baby, it will do the opposite.
I purchased this for our new born son. After going through 3 low prices baby cams, and discovering the quality was bad, I decided to go for this one. It works perfectly, the quality is great, and the sound and microphone quality is great. If you live in a building or a multi story house, note that you may not get reception or see the video since it has a limited signal. Other than that its great and very useful. Highly recommend it..
Update: emailed communications with the customer service for about a month and the agent kindly explained and tried to find the solution for this matter. Resetting everything but it didnât not work and I was able to get replacement. Wrong item delivered and some hiccup between and due to inconvenience Motorola showed me generosity and sent me a whole new replacement. Returned my old unit and it has been working perfectly fine. Issues were resolved and I am happy we have now working monitor/camera again!Edit: contacted Motorola customer service regarding about the issue I was having. Kindly explaining what could cause the issues and how to resolve. It was still under warranty and emailing with the customer service few times and it could be something wrong with the handheld monitor so they will send me the replacement at no cost. Hoping the new monitor will be better .We bought this in feb to replaced 3 yrs old minor from Summer infant. This was the worst monitor ever. It has volume setting on main monitor and even with the full. Volume I can barely hear the sound anymore (as I’m wiring this on Nov 15 2020)The lag between we speak through the monitor and she responds is just terrible. I talked to her and when I’m done she’s already responding back to me and my side if speaker won’t catch what she says due to the lag. It wasnt this bad at first time, it was working just fine for few months.the plug in on the monitor is loose and doesn’t charge charge correctly even with plugged in and it make loud annoying low battery sounds. Trying to connect to charge and staying on to charge every single night.The camera in get room started light up by Itself even with the monitor is off(there seeing to turn the light on the camera in the room and access through monitor and app) felt creep to find out the light suddenly turned on bcz it can be accessed through the app. Night vision is ok, quality can be better, battery life sucks, over all I don’t wish for anybody to spend this much and won’t even last a year!! Idk if we get a defective item or not but I’m so disappointed and had a huge expectation for this company.
