Reviews

  1. Best monitor ever
I love this monitor. The pan view goes everywhere and I can see everything! The screen picture is great, the battery life is good, the distance is crazy good. When the battery starts to die it beeps insanely loudly though so don’t let that happen near your sleeping child. And I had to buy a whole new camera/monitor when my 3 yo noticed this camera moving when I was watching her play so don’t make that mistake! It is super creepy to see even from an adult’s perspective. I would recommend this baby monitor to anyone and buy two cameras right off the bat if you’re going to have a second child.

  2. NEVER PURCHASE THIS – it is junk
Wow – I don’t usually take the time to write reviews but given that this is a baby product and it’s important, I am taking the time. Received the product. To my pleasant surprise the box was new and the item was not used (unlike some other products I have received).Cons:- The battery is extremely poor – after 16 hours + charging it, it retained battery life for all of 30 minutes before dying again. Really? This is a no-go – you simply can’t sell products that are defective. It might as well be called “Fixed” parental unit – unable to transport it anywhere. Simply not practical. There is a number to call Motorola on but you have to first go to a website to have your problem registered. What a hassle. This machine is going back to Amazon and is not what I thought it would be.- The motion detection is not superior and lags but I guess it’s good enough for a little baby- Connectivity is not strongPros:-It comes with a stand which is quite nice and smart.- It has basic features like temperature and lullabies- The camera swivels around fairly well. The battery is a deal breaker overall and it is going back to Amazon for that reason. What a waste of time purchasing and returning this.PS Parents should also research EMT when selecting baby devices (for baby and parent’s health)UPDATED****After using this for a month or so it is clear that the battery is not the only issue. It is a piece of junk. Furthermore, I tried contacting Motorola support which have outsourced it to a company called Binatone. Very poor service and unempathetic.Fortunately Amazon agreed to take this back. What a waste of time and energy. NEVER BUYING MOTOROLA again.

  3. It’s great!
Honestly, this monitor is fantastic. It does everything I would need it to do. I’m not sure why so many people are not satisfied with it.The picture quality is very good. I mean, it’s no HD but it’s totally fine. The night vision is clear and you can see if your baby’s eyes are opened or closed. The sound is clear and loud. We usually have it on the lower settings and we can pick up every sound; even squeaks in the floor.Never had a problem with it, I’m actually ordering another one for my second child’s room. Will leave another comment if necessary. Especially if the compatibility is off or things are not as they are advertised.Overall, a great monitor.

  4. Meets expectations
I expected better from Motorola for the price but it’s a decent monitor and you can see pretty well. Bought for a toddler: not a newborn. If you’re worried about being able to tell if your child is breathing, I’d choose something different. It’s fine for our purposes (making sure the little person hasn’t climbed out of the crib). The rechargeable NiMH battery is memory dependent and never reads as fully charged even when it is. Be sure to follow initial charging instructions to avoid this.

  5. Love this camera, but battery life sort of sucks
I bought this to keep an eye on my toddler at nap time. The picture quality is great even in nighttime mode. The sound is great and clear. I have only used the music option a few times and the song options are good but my son just seemed confused by It. I love that I can pan and tilt to keep an eye on him even if he has moved around his crib. I don’t use the zoom and it only has 2 zoom levels. Doesn’t add much detail to what you see zoomed in. I love that there is an option to add more cameras without having to purchase a second monitor. Will come in handy if we decide on a second child, to have one in each room. This monitor has reduced the amount of times I’ve woke up my child, by checking on him when he is fussing. Sometimes he just fusses and bit and rolls over and goes back to sleep, and before the monitor I would go in and check on him which woke him up. Now I can check the camera and have peace of mind he is ok. Overall I’m really happy with my purchase and would highly recommend it again to anyone looking for one.A few things that could be improved on:The battery life is fairly short. Only about 6 hours even if the monitor is on sleep mode. The beeping of low battery at 3am is super annoying when you forget to plug it in before bed. This is the only downfall to not getting a 5 star rating.I’d like to see a clip on the back of the monitor so I can clip it to my jeans pocket so I don’t have to carry it in my hand if I’m doing house work.

  9. Just ignore all the reviews posted Negative… Take it from a parent of two kids… This is an awesome device.. O.k the battery is not that great.. so what, u can plug it keep it in some place (given long cable), don’t expect it to work as mobile phone. I get battery life when unplugged for about 60 to 90 mins and that is fine for us.. We have no problems with it.. Range is awesome, we live in Duplex house, I get to check on my kids from my neighbour house also.. If you can pay the amount for this.. then go for it…

  10. I made this purchase in May-07-2016, after carefully searching on Amazon and reading up on a multitude of of different Wireless Video Baby Monitors. I ordered and received the Monitor 2 days later on May-09-2016. I was still very unsure about this product or any other as this was for my first and only child. I work as a Career Firefighter/EMT and have seen some disastrous results from good parents that simply diverted their attention monetarily. It was because of that, along with my wife and I wanting to get some form of intimacy back, but while keeping our then 12 month old in eye sight but in his own room I made the purchase. The “Motorola MBP36S Remote Wireless Video Baby Monitor with 3.5-Inch Color LCD Screen, Remote Camera Pan, Tilt, and Zoom ” was properly packaged and came as advertised with a 3.5 inch LCD which included a rechargeable battery (that I simply placed inside), the Color/Night vision Camera, and Wall mounting accessories. With this product being such a important purchase financially and more so for the safety of everyone’s child I decided to wait around 6 months before giving this a written review.I nor my wife have had any issues with the camera or well displayed 3.5 inch screen. The night vision is amazing, I completely black out his room (thick blanket over the blinds) when its nap time as he won’t sleep when he can see light. I can see him and everything else in the room very clearly and when light is made available the color is great. It picks up on the sounds and both audio and visual is nearly instantaneously transmitted to your screen. With that said I’m still a little more cautions and like to actually see good equal rise and fall of his chest to confirm what I’m hearing.. Motorola does a great job again with the zoom feature and it has a very wide range of motion nearly 360. Battery life could be better, it will last 3+ hours but you’ll have to lower the volume to mid range. Again, it might just be my pre-programmed paranoia that keeps it up so high in the first place. The lullabies are basic and rarely used, I have a old cellphone that is on WiFi that we play classical music on. It has a walkie talkie-ish feature which allows you to communicate while pressing the microphone button on your screen. We use it when he wakes up and starts crying to let him hear our voice and let him know we’re on our way. It works throughout our house and I’m able to walk to the mailbox without losing signal. It displays both signal and battery level and will sound a alarm if either is low.Congratulations to any new or returning parents and I recommend this product. Feel free to ask any questions and I’ll make sure to get back to them within 72 hours.
