Pleased with this! I opted to secure the strap to my TV bench, which was a simple process and much preferable for me as a renter (vs. mounting to the wall).The kit comes with a variety of hardware pieces, so itâs just a matter of determining the combination that best fits your TVâs mounting holes (the instructions outline different configuration options). I have a 55â Samsung TU7000, which has a 200mm hole pattern, so the 8â shorter spaced holes in the strap worked perfectly, and then I just tucked the loose unused ends in.The clamp was also simple to secure to my TV bench (an IKEA FJÃLLBO) since it has an open back. It was easy to tighten enough to make the strap feel secure without damaging the wooden surface of my furniture. And since my TV bench is low (just over 21âoff the floor) and sits along a wall, the clamp is really not that noticeable from the front.I donât have any kids or pets, so I canât really speak to how secure it would be for more accident-prone households, but I feel pretty confident in how much more secure my TV now feels when I intentionally try to rock and shift it, so I would definitely recommend this as an inexpensive and effective safety measure against general accidents.

If you use a tv stand/bench/media console etc, and you have a tv you want to prevent toppling over and donât want to drill holes into your wall to secure it, this product is perfect as it connects to the VESA holes and then the latch goes against the back of your tv furniture. My VESA mounts are 600×400 so I bought 2 straps to use on each side, securing the top holes and tightening while the bottom holes have a bit of slack but will act as secondary anchors if the tv does start to lean/topple forward.

Our granddaughter is coming to visit and we are in the process of babyproofing. We did not want to put more holes in the walls than needed and we really did not want to hang our TV. To our surprise, our Samsung came with screw holes in the back and the setup was easy. The strap is tight and the TV is secure. One recommendation, it comes with multiple size screws depending on your TV, start with trying the largest one first so you don’t get a smaller screw stuck in what for our TV is a fairly deep hole.

I compared a number of options on Amazon and at my local hardware store before settling on this one mainly because the 37″ vertical strap gave me confidence that I could run from the upper bolt holes on a 75″ TV to the back of its stand. There were some competing products with a 32″ strap, which would have restricted me to the lower holes only. I decided to buy two, one mounted in the upper holes and one in the lower, which is probably overkill but also gives me peace of mind.It comes with 5mm, 6mm, and 8mm mounting bolts in two lengths to fit a variety of TVs; my 75″ Samsung used the short M6. Installation was very straightforward; the only fiddly bit was having to reach under the TV to tighten the shelf hold-down bolt with an Allen wrench. Some competing products provide a knob instead, which would be a little simpler but probably also more prone to loosening. Overall I’m very happy and would certainly buy the same model again.
I was a little sceptical at first, but this is actually pretty much perfect. If setup properly, it should stop your TV or monitor from tipping over. I did test it out with a little force and it barely moved; however, I do not know if someone hung on the unit, how it would hold. I bought it to hold my monitor in place in case of an earthquake or if someone bumps the bookshelf, and for that it works.
I used this for my 65″ Samsung TV. I had to use the largest/longest bolt that was included but had to leave the spacer off as it barely fit. My TV stand does not much of a lip on the backside (I did not want to drill into my wall), so I was not able to use it as directed, but I was able to “jerry rig” it to make it work and it seems very sturdy. I am on the East Coast and do not have children, so I don’t run the risk of any significant earthquakes or someone pulling on it.
