Wildly overpriced, broke after 6 months, awful customer service
TLDR: This is a garbage product. Avoid.I bought this camera with high hopes and even subscribed to their rather expensive analytics service. Heck, I even bought the carrying case!Unfortunately, the temperature sensor only worked about 1 in 10 days and the sleep tracking stuff was totally wrong/useless. The flex stand would disconnect periodically unless I had it propped in a super specific way, which meant that it would just randomly not be working–not a great feature in a baby monitor (!?!).I cancelled my subscription after a month, but was still billed for the year… It still worked as a high quality (if now quiet overpriced) monitor except when the flex stand disconnected randomly, until I tried to bring it on vacation with us. After trying to connect to a new network at vacation rental, the unit just stopped connecting to anythjng. I tried resetting it and nothing happened. I tried calling and was on hold for 1.5 hours before I was played an automated message saying I should email them. I emailed them and I still haven’t heard from them after 2 weeks. I am now looking at buying a new monitor. This is an absolute garbage product. Avoid.
Works great until it doesnât
I love this camera when itâs working but my daughter is 20 months and the pairing button broke. I have the traveling case for when we leave the house so I donât know how it stopped working. The button became loose and just giggles now.Without the pairing button it canât connect to wifi and you canât use the camera without wifi. The camera is now useless after less then two years.The camera would be perfectly fine if this button worked or if you could pair it another way. I reached out to customer service and they said because itâs a year old there is nothing they can do.Be really careful buying this as you may have to spend the money again within less then two years.
Would be nice if it worked all of the time
The product doesnât work half the time. The camera stand is super flimsy always comes off and doesnât connect.
Underwhelming
Everyone raves about this product but I have been completely disappointed with it.-it often does this loading thing where I canât access the camera or audio . Iâve gone through all the troubleshooting steps and it will just sit there and spin sometimes for a good 10 minutes. At 345 am when Iâve been up every hour this is the last thing I want to see.- the sleep analysis option is great .. if the camera picks everything up. You can adjust the sensitivity but it will still miss big things ( like what time she wakes up ) half the time but record her arm twitching..- be prepared to have your phone plugged into a charger 24/7 and for it to get pretty hot when youâre using itOverall I really regret going with the nanit. I heard so many great things especially for sleep analysis but Iâve been truly disappointed.
The item I received is clearly used
I received a used item⦠If I wanted a used or an open box item I wouldâve purchased it from the marketplace and wouldnât pay a premium for it!
Broke after 3 years of standard use – not used for travel
The notifications are not accurate. The camera makes a loud clicking sound when it turns on out of what I assume is sleep mode and has woken our baby up.After 3 years of use it died and we got no support for repair.Lots of bells and whistles but the only useful thing is to get live camera to your phone, which many other baby cameras offer with a much lower price tag.Very delicate and positioning specific, so poor as a travel camera, we bought a wyze for 20$ instead to travel with.
We love this at our house. We have one in our 3 year olds room and one in our room for our newborn. Super easy to connect to your phone and have different options for sounds, night light, and tracking their sleep. You do have to pay for tracking movement but still great if you donât have a plan. I love that you can talk through it too and this is all available even when you donât pay for a plan.
The product description says 1year of insights are included. Turns out they’re not…and even if they were, the app don’t provide insights if you use the Flexi stand (which is what is included in the box).Poor (misleading?) labelling…the product is NOT what the description says.
My granddaughter has this monitor and it is great. What I especially love is that you can do picture in picture so you can watch the baby while you are still on your phone. The app is very easy to use and multiple family members can have the same camera on the account so you only need one monitor for many caregivers (parents, grandparents, etc). This will be a standard baby gift going forward.
Our camera constantly disconnects from the mount. Everytime we open the app it says disconnected. We have to go wiggle the camera on the stand and it comes back online. It is not stable at all and falls off the mount regularly and we’re scared it’s going to fall on our babies head. The temperature and humidity setting never works for us. We tried all the tips and tricks Nanit support said to do. Still no luck. Nanit support communication takes days with little to no help so far on our warranty request. They just keep coming back with more questions and telling us it could we a wifi problem which it’s not when the camera constantly comes unplugged from the stand. Also the app wouldn’t let us proceed until we bought the insights plan due to a glitch. We ended up buying the plan just to find out you can’t get insights with the flex stand. What a waste of money this whole Nanit system was. We love the idea of it but either ours is defective or this product is horrible.
I have one of these for both of my children and I love them! They have such a clear picture. They connect right to my phone or tablet and I love that I can play the white noise through the monitor.
