I got a toddler and a cat. Dont want the toddler to have access to where the cat is allowed to go. This product is perfect.It is a heavy duty metal that has multiple ways to attach it to the wall.You can screw mount, or pressure mount by turning the knobs.Well thought out.
Fits great
We actually purchased the item as a means to keep our new puppy out of a specific area of the house but so far it was easy to install and certainly very sturdy. Our cat adopted the sidling door as soon as it was installed and she can slide though without issues.When properly installed, the door on the gate pretty much closes on its own and small children (and some adults) will have a hard time to unlock it as it’s locking mechanism appears very good and you also have to slightly lift the door out of it’s lower railing in order to open it. The additional extensions are great as we had to use the larger one in order to get the gate to fit snug into the opening.
Easy to assemble
Nice gate, instructions were clear. Only thing I don’t like is you need to press 2 diff buttons at the same time ans lift to open gate. The hole seems small for the animals but somehow my 4 15 lbs cats can get thru no problem.

We bought this gate to keep our dog from going into the laundry room where we keep our cats litter box . It has the perfect little door within the gate to let the cat through no problem and keeps the dog out . Very sturdy . Would highly recommend ð
Fits perfect
Should have bought this years ago. It fits perfectly in the doorway and keeps the dogs out of the cat litter area and cat food area plus I can now answer the front door without worrying about the dogs trying to get out.It was super easy to assemble, just needed the small add on. I didn’t permanently attach to the wall as the pressure mount works fine with my dogs.

Does not fit
It only fits specific widths based on the length of the extensions. It didnt fit our staircases… and didn’t fit any of our doors. We missed the return window since we waited to long to install.
Was great to keep our big dog from eating the smaller dog’s food during feeding. Easy install, strong grip. Make sure to protect your frame when installing, since they give you the kit to do it.
Here is the Standard Review for the Newnice Auto Close Baby Gate with Small Cat Door. This is the perfect baby gate to keep kids secure, dogs out and cats in! Cats can come and go as they please, which they will do anyway, because they’re cats. The gate is very toddler proof. Despite my kid’s best efforts to destroy the gate, it has held up nicely. Installation is easy and the gate closes nicely and is simple to use for adults.
We HAD to get these gate(s) for our for our baby and our dog. Mainly for our dog because she likes to eat cat poop out of the litter box. The gate solved the poop situation for a while until our dog figured out she can simply lift the gate with her head through the cat door. I wish there was a better locking mechanism. You will have to screw this gate into the wall so keep that in mind when you purchase this product.
Functionally, this gate checked every box for us: prevent dogs from going upstairs but allow cat to do so, blend in with decor, and be easy to operate. I was dubious it would happen given our stairsâ non-standard railing where one side is ROUND. But we got it to work! Happy day! Granted, our funky install makes it appear as if itâs NOT fully closed/latched but it is – you have to operate the handle to open – so we donât care.We have one gripe, and that is the cat door. It doesnât go very high, and because our install has the gate positioned close to the next stair, our 14-lb kitty has to do some some interesting maneuvering to get through it. But heâs made it work so instead of taking off a star Iâll keep it at 5.
I have been using this baby gate for the top of my staircase. I am very impressed with this gate as it is very strong secure. I really like the wood design on this gate as it fit perfectly in with the wood trim in my house. The gate door is easy to operate with one hand, but my toddler still can’t grab both too and bottom to unlock it, which is great. The hardest thing with this gate is getting used to stepping over the bottom bar that connects both sides of the gate together.I am glad that this gate was very straightforward to assemble and install. I was able to install this gate in about 30 minutes which was nice. I like that it is very adjustable and has rubber gribs that hold very well onto the wall. It’s also a bonus that this kit comes with a wrench to help complete the installation.
