What’s with my headline? Well, these curtains have substance. They are not lightweight bits of fabric to mask your window. So if you intend to hand them from a noodle, you probably need a rethink. There’s weight to them.The really excellent thing is that, though clearly not intended, these curtains are reversible. So hanging in my bedroom right now the white side is facing out. This reflects the harsh Saskatchewan sun and reduces heating. The black side faces into the room and provides excellent light blocking.Note that the physical type of curtain means there just is some light leakage around the edges, so it is not a full blackout. If that’s what you are going for you need to be very particular in your shopping and be skeptical of any product that hangs from a rod claiming complete blackout. In my case the darkening is very good with little light leakage such that I’m not waking up with the sun at 4:30 – 5:00 a.m. and I can even squeeze in a comfortable afternoon nap when I choose.Very happy with the product.
Good blackout, doesn’t seem to block low frequency noise though..
My neighbor has an accursed heat pump for his pool that he leaves on during the night for literally no reason. He also does absolutely nothing to help with the horrendous noise it produces (it’s under his patio, he could just put some wall and it would solve the problem but he doesn’t, and yes I’ve talked to him). Anyway, I used some app on my phone, and it detects 20 dB of noise at all times while in my room, and around 40 dB outside, but apparently it’s only illegal from 51 dB. It does feel like more than that, but I’m probably just sensitive to it, I don’t know. All I know is it prevents me from sleeping. At least if it was traffic noise or something there would be a valid reason for it, but this is just a waste of energy.Anyway, based on the pictures on the product page, these curtains were supposed to block approximately 29 dB of noise, right? Well, the app still detects 20 dB in my room, and so do my ears. Maybe it only works on higher frequencies? By the way, his kid likes to dribble during the day. I look forward to these curtains not blocking that noise at all either (will update if I do notice a difference). Seriously though, we have video games, stop dribbling like a caveman.To be fair, these are good curtains otherwise, just a bit disappointed that my problem isn’t fixed. I ended up having to flip my bed and move it so that my head is the furthest away from the window, but now I can barely access my wardrobe. I still hear the noise but it feels distant enough that I can sleep again. Still, having a bed that blocks my wardrobe is not ideal.

Great quality and range of sizes
I spent hours on the Amazon web site looking for a company who supplied different lengths of curtains. This company is one of a very few who offered choices. I wanted to put the same drawers throughout my home. I found lovely beige curtains and purchased them for 3 rooms. A bonus was that they are blackout drapes which will be useful in the winter. The grommets are large enough to accommodate most curtain rods. The smooth texture makes them look expensive. I love them and would purchase them again.
Product comes as advertised
These are heavy, well constructed, colour accurate curtains. These are blackout curtains but keep in mind, as a grommet curtain, you get light leak at the top of the curtain because of this style. And if you think a $15 curtain labelled as blackout are the same as these, think again! You get what you pay for so don’t be cheap. We’ll worth the investment! Extremely happy and definitely recommend purchasing these!
Best blackout blinds
We have bought these for every house including for the grandparents. It keeps the heat out as well. They are a thick material that is soft and easy to iron to get the wrinkles out. Very pleased with how well it blacks out the room.

He batallado toda mi vida con la luz natural del sol cuando cae y la luz del foco exterior el cual está posicionado justo en medio de mi ventana. Un horror en tiempo de verano y en las noches que ninguna cortina regular tapaba la luz por las noches.Ordené una cortinas blackout blancas de esta misma marca pero sin el forro negro y dejaban pasar toda la luz, excepto que no se miraba de afuera hacia dentro ni con luz prendida y agitando los brazos para ver si no se traslucÃan las sombras. Pero seguÃa con el mismo problema.Asà que compré estas y estoy muy complacida. Se acabó la luz en mi ventana si las cierro por completo. Las comprarÃa mil veces más. Son gruesas y un poco pesadas pero nada que un simple cortinero delgado (como el mÃo) no pueda aguantar sin problema.RecomendadÃsimas.
