It provides a quick, simple, non-invasive method of determining a childâs temperature and, using the memory function, tracks it over a period of days or even weeks. Easy to use
This thermometer is very accurate compared to the other one we have that you have to insert in the ear. I like it because you can check on your kid’s temperature while they sleep, without having to place a thing in their ear and risk waking them up. Plus there’s no disposable caps or anything else to worry about. It comes with a couple of rechargeable batteries that I actually prefer to the ubiquitous USB-C charging because I know that I can replace batteries and it will last forever; the other ones, with the built-in battery, will probably become e-waste at some point.
Works well
I didn’t have a thermometer in the house, which I recently realized when I wasn’t feeling well. I decided I needed one, but I’ve never liked the idea of the “stick it under your tongue, then throw it back in the drawer” style. This Thermometer is easy to use, easy to read, and there’s no contact required (other than the switch, of course!). I’m able to easily and quickly take my own temperature in just a second or two. I do stand in front of a mirror just to make sure I’m not pointing it up a nostril or something, but it’s quick and effective. I don’t have kids, but recalling what I was like when I was a lad, I’m quite certain that any parent would LOVE the speed and convenience of this thermometer too! It has a colour coded screen, though thankfully, I’ve only seen the green so far, and a memory function if you want to track a temperature trend. I’ll update my review as I get more use out of this thermometer, should I encounter anything that warrants it.
Better than traditional thermometers
I really like the idea of a non-contact thermometer. I always thought it seemed unhygienic to have a traditional digital one that goes in your mouth/under your arm and doesn’t always get properly cleaned, especially since you usually take temperatures when you are sick.This one is great because you just place it close to the forehead and get a fairly accurate reading with no contact involved. It displays the temperature in both farenheit or celcius and has a back light that displays green, yellow, or red to indicate clearly if your temperature is higher than it should be.The sound can also be muted, making this a great option for when you have a sick child or baby and want to check their temperature while they are asleep.It runs on AAA batteries, so no need to worry about cords/having to recharge it. It is also competitively priced.This is a great thermometer to have on hand.
