After researching several comparable products we selected this option because the package offered everything we needed to secure 2 music library cabinets to the wall for added support. You would be surprised how unstable a taller, typically “short-in-depth” cabinet filled with the work of hundreds of your favourite artists can become.
It would have been nice to have had the choice of color as white would have blended into my decor better than black. Also, the screws need to be longer.
Iâm sure these are fine for most applications, and we have installed them in our sons room. But, vs other straps, you can tell the velcro isnât going to hold under extreme pressure. So if itâs just as an added precaution, these are good, but if itâs a very heavy piece of furniture you need to strap, Iâd buy quake hold.
Double them up like it shows. Easy to install, holds stronger if doubled and very safe. They aren’t as expensive as others and adhere to our display case very easily.
We used them all to earthquake proof our home and they work great.
I bought one set of these and they seemed to work ok, so I bought another set. I was trying to mount them today in my toddler’s room. When I leaned on the shelf, like a toddler might do, one of the brass rivets ripped right out. I am very upset because now I don’t know if the rest I have already put up are safe. The screws are too short, but I used my own. Do NOT recommend.
