Perfect
Great product, really lets us know how our baby is sleeping
Not a lot of value for the price
I’m at home with NB now and used Owlet Dream Duo for 2 weeks, this is what I’ve found.TLDR: My only real issue with product is value. This item is “not a bad” product with a hefty price. If I could do it again I would either buy a similar item at a lower price point, or a better camera for the same or more money.-Picture quality is fairly ok, exception is that there is an odd flicker so you are unable to see breathing at night because of the interference. If the camera were placed within 30 inches of baby, the flickering may diminish to allow breathing to be visible? Mine is currently placed 48 inches away because I wanted no risk of accidentally knocking it off the wall. Unlikely as the Owlet cam’s magnetic base is strong- but I’d have still preferred it be bolted/ screwed.-Moving the sock off of the charging station onto baby’s foot inevitably sets off alarms, so we find ourselves turning the volume off on our phones, then unplugging the base, then donning the sock, then turning everything on again. This may be our lack of knowledge as we haven’t had time to learn with NB now here. Hint- you don’t get a lot of time to learn tech with a NB in the house! I give credit here too, our NB was quite small but we haven’t had a single false alarm at night, big plus!-The only functions I have found good use for are that I can look at the app to see baby’s heart is beating (alive yay!) and having the room’s audio available anywhere, as the audio is very good. Background audio is a nice feature so you can hear without app open. Also NB’s signs in video are visible night and day if she is hungry, or if has rolled over onto stomach.- I’ve not found that this product actually does anything else useful for me. Sleep quality readings are junk, it last night registered baby as sleeping peacefully during a feed and diaper change.- While I am not familiar with any alternatives you should ask yourself what you want this to do for you. If audio / video maybe coupled with a life sign indicator such as breathing/ heart monitor is all you need (that’s all the Owlet seems to do anyway) and if $500 cad sounds like a lot of money to you, then I suggest researching other items at a lower price point, and hopefully save a few dollars for some other important things that you’ll inevitably be needing. ( Ie large size bottle sterilizer dryer combo!)
Peace of Mind
As a first time mom this product helped bring me major peace of mind with my baby. Camera quality is really good and all the vitals taken make me feel a lot better. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because when my baby was a newborn he had skinny feet and the sensor wouldn’t fold enough to make good connection with his skin and was constantly going off. We did stop using it until he was 2.5 months old when his foot was wide enough for it.
Waste of money
Worst purchase. For the price they charge this is definitely not worth it. System is constantly crashing. Camera disconnects all the time ( my router is in the next room with excellent connection). Disappointed and donât recommend.
Don’t waste your money
For the price of this it’s not worth it. Camera quality is bad and the sock itself is unreliable
Terrible
Not as advertised. The app does not have the features shown. Not worth it at all. Bought before baby come and return window is closed and now wasted $500.
Camera is such a POS
The sock is nice but the camera is garbage. Don’t waste your money
App keeps Crashing
The app is absolutely terrible. It keeps closing and we can’t set it up. I have a newer Samsung phone so I can’t figure out why the app keeps crashing. We also tried it on my husbands phone and it didn’t work either.

While the price and subscription model might not suit everyone, the peace of mind it provides could make it worth the investment for many parents.
Weâve been using the Owlet Dream Duo for a few months now, and overall, itâs been a game-changer for keeping tabs on our babyâs health and safety. Here’s what weâve experienced:Pros:Peace of Mind: The Dream Sock tracks our babyâs pulse rate and oxygen levels, which has been incredibly reassuring, especially at night. We get real-time notifications, which gives us peace of mind while he sleeps.Clear 1080p Video: The Owlet Cam 2 provides crystal-clear video in HD, making it easy to monitor our baby. The night vision is also great, ensuring we can see him even in low light.User-Friendly App: The app is easy to set up and navigate, allowing us to check on our baby from anywhere, whether weâre in another room or out of the house.FDA-Cleared & Trustworthy: Knowing that the Dream Sock is FDA-cleared gives us confidence that it’s a reliable and safe way to monitor our baby’s health.Cons:Occasional Connection Issues: There are times when the baby monitor will disconnect, especially when the baby is downstairs. This can be a bit frustrating, as we sometimes have to reconnect the monitor to get a live feed.Final Thoughts:Overall, the Owlet Dream Duo provides excellent features that give us peace of mind about our babyâs health and well-being. Despite the occasional connection issue, itâs a high-quality product that we trust and would recommend to other parents.
