I used it on my paddle board during an 11day canoe trip… very comfortable. Very stable and solid. Not the lightest but light enough to hand carry in relative comfort over long portages.I loved the ability to change up the angle. Lean it back for nice leisurely paddling, or pull it upright to get some power strokes in… really quick and easy to adjust the position on the fly for water conditions.That alone makes this a 5/5 product.Then you get the stool/bench that they added on for fun… creates storage, gives a platform to sit on, a work station when fishing, a booster to stand on for setting up tarps above head… you bring a chair and you get a table, work station, stool, booster, storage.Exceptionally well designed product.

Best Pelican Kayak seat you can buy at the time of this review.It has little pockets in the front and if you fold/close the seat you have a little table or an elevated seating position. Perfect for Anglers.
Used as a seat on paddle board
I liked that it was easy to use. Has a lot of straps but none useful for connecting easily to paddle board. Seat was comfortable but backrest jabbed me in the back. I will add easy connect straps and put some kind of cushioning on back bar.

OK so I was an idiot and lost the original seat on a highway in my city of Kelowna, in five minutes some hero picked it up of the street. Anyway I looked here and they were out of stock, I decided to check the next day and they had four in stock, so I ordered one. Got It in six days, but I’m so glad I lost the other seat lol. This is a far superior seat over the original one. I bought the kayak used and yes abused. The seat needed repairs, which I did, fixed the torn webbing, but it had worn spots on several places on the mesh almost all the way thru in spots. Anyway this is a much better seat, the back has a hard rubberized table to just as a small area for your Cutting board or a table to eat off on shore. So it’s a bit heavier than the original and won’t flip up in the wind, I haul mine on the roof of my suv, so it’s in the high winds traveling down highways. The best ever, no contest.
Helps people with back issues
Sitting flat on a paddle board when we kayak on a sup is hard on the spine. Having an elevated seat really helps as well as we put some pool noodles under the knees.Just be prepared to figure out how to mount it to your board. And there’s no hardware.We took the hardware from a cheaper paddle board kayak seat and use those to create mounting hardware which is easy on easy off.

My husband flipped his Bonified kayak and guess what…yep he lost his seat and the replacement seat for it is 399.99. This baby right here worked almost flawlessly had to make a very minor modification but I think it way better than the original and at a fraction of the cost.

The seat is great but the product description says it comes with the mounting hardware, it did not come with any mounting hardware and the pelican site does not have the hardware to order.
