Perfect Seat for Chihuahua
I have been searching for a booster seat for over a year now. This seat is the perfect height/sturdiness for my 8lb chihuahua. While driving, he always attempts to sit on my lap or climb up on me so he could see out the window. The seats in my vehicle are rather deep. This elevated him to see over the dash and out the side window. His anxiety has reduced and not once has he tried to jump out of the seat onto me. Heâs very content and feels safe.I had to put a plush bed inside it for comfort as the top is hard and boxy. This is not an issue just worth noting. He is unable to curl up into a comfortable spot otherwise and slides around.It is light and easy to transfer from front to back seat. It doesnât dig into the leather interior of my vehicle.Aesthetically itâs a beautiful neutral colour. The cover is removable/washable.

The best car seat for dogs!! I was on the market for a good quality car and came across this one and it has been a game changer! My cockapoo always needs to look out the window when he is in the car so this was perfect because it is raised. Super easy to assemble, super good quality and comfortable for him. I can now drive with peace of mind knowing he is save in his car seat. You can secure it to the seat using the seat belt and it also comes with a mini clip on leash to hook onto his harness.For reference my dog is a 25lb Cockapoo so I got the size medium and he has plenty of room to comfortably lay down and move around 🙂

Quick to setup and install in truck. Our dog was anxious riding in the truck, often motion sick; elevating him so he could see out front window and the security of being in an enclosed space similar to his home dog bed has greatly improved the travel experience. Lots of room for him to sleep and the material is comfortable and washable. Very pleased with purchase.
Just the right size for a 35lb corgi, with some safety caveats
Summary:- you may not get the same exact model as the picture- good for long bois like corgis, or two small dogs, but make sure your two dogs can’t tangle each other up- can hold my 35lb dog without collapsing- may help with carsickness as shorter dogs can look out the window- get your dog comfortable jumping in and out of the seat before putting them in the car with it- use with a crash tested harness (like a Sleepypod Clickit) instead of the leash attachments that come with the booster- you might need a quality seat belt extender- if you have slanted seats, you might need to prop up the back of the booster with something underneath like a pool noodle- you may want to use with a blanket in case of drool or vomitLong form:This thing might be more trouble than it’s worth, depending on what’s worth it to you.I think the safest, most comfortable way to travel with a pet is with them compartmentalized, like in a crate. Unfortunately not being able to see out any windows tends to make our corgi throw up. So in comes the booster seat.We ordered this and the booster we got was similar but not exactly the same as the listed pictures, which was annoying. It had the same branding, but there were no loops on the sides or front of the booster seat for strapping the seat belt across – there’s a long belt that goes around the back of your car’s seats instead. The quality was fine regardless of difference, and I still could make the booster work with my car, but I knock a star off here for not representing the product accurately. See my pics for the comparisons.My corgi is about as big as a male can get by pembroke standards and he fits comfortably in this booster seat. He can lay down, turn around and sit just fine. The bottom is indeed supported with a corrugated plastic frame, but it’s not a problem for his weight (~35lbs). The seat bottom is zipped in so it can’t collapse or flip. It might be a problem if you live in an extremely hot place and leave the seat in the car all the time, as I don’t know how much heat that plastic can take – my car has melted plastic before but this seat has not melted thus far.I saw some questions about using this with some larger breeds like samoyeds. Well, no, larger breeds don’t need booster seats. I would not use this with a dog taller than my corgi, as their head might reach or be near the ceiling of the car where they could smash into it if there’s a big bump, and the point of a booster is to elevate them just enough to see out the windows. I would recommend a crash tested harness or a crate for a larger dog.That said, some caveats:You will need a crash tested harness to use this booster safely. Using this booster without attaching your dog to the car somehow could cause them to become airborne in the case of a sudden stop or accident.The “leashes” that are supposed to attach your pet to the booster are a joke, DO NOT USE THEM if you care about the safety of your pet. Also I cringe at the pictures of these leashes being attached to dog collars. Never attach anything to your dog’s collar in a car unless you want to hang your dog. Tuck those flimsy ribbons that come with this booster inside the seat, zip them up never to be seen again, and get yourself a crash tested harness (ex: Sleepypod) that can attach to your car’s actual seat belts.Even a small 10lb dog becomes a very heavy projectile with the physics involved in a car accident. It’s a risk not only to your dog but you and your family. The expense of a good harness is worth lives. Your dog is only as safe as the weakest link you attach them to.Back to the booster itself.The seat has a cooler fabric side and a warmer plush side, but I use a waterproof blanket on top in case of vomit/drool. I would not want to try washing this booster seat, it looks like it would be a pain.If you have ergonomically sloping back seats you may need to put something under the back of the booster to keep it from slanting. I use a large and firm pool noodle that cost a few dollars and it works just fine for my 35lb dog.-That all said I like the concept of this seat, and it looks good, but I would really prefer it if I could just put my corgi in a crate if I had the option. There’s so many things you have to do to actually make this booster safe to use and fit properly in the car. Getting my corgi’s Clickit harness attached to the seat belts while in the booster can be a massive pain without using a seat belt extender. Unfortunately I’m done with cleaning chunky vomit out of the car, and so far he hasn’t puked in this seat so they get 4 stars for this good looking solution.

Well built. Construction is solid. Fits my 35 lbs frenchie easily. I used a proper strap to secure the booster seat to the front seat. Luckily my small suv is wide enough for the booster seat to sit wide vs long. Regardless it is perfect and proper for back seat ⦠on the actual seat or even if folded down. Quality is really god for the price. Well engineered with no cheap foam as per other products on amazon.

I absolutely love this doggy car seat. It’s super convenient and keeps the dogs in place while your driving. My little dachshund used to love to wonder around on the driver then back to the passenger, stepping on all the buttons on her way. Now she is safe in one spot. They actually love the basket and will relax and lay down immediately. They love the extra high so they can look out the window and stare at the driver ð it’s super soft and cozy. Lots of room for my 14lbs morkie and 8 lbs dachshund to share and cuddle up together of they want. It’s basically a basket of cuteness! The only problem is that it’s hard to look away from the cuteness and can distract the driver haha

I bought this car seat a few months ago for my 15″/15 lb mini poodle, so he could be high enough to look out the window while sitting and would have plenty of room to curl up for a nap if he wants to. It’s exactly what I was hoping for… sturdy, well-made, well-sized, good height, attractive, easy to spot-clean, very comfy, easy to install, adaptable to different seat designs, and the straps feel very secure.I’ve tried several different kinds of car seats for my dog, and this one is head-and-shoulders above the rest. It’s pricier than some other options, but I feel it’s an excellent value for the money, and more importantly, my dog feels relaxed and comfortable while I feel good that I’m keeping him safe!
Mi perro es un shihtzu de Talla chica (34 cm)y le queda bien, si el fuera un poco más grande ya le quedarÃa apretada. Nos encanta su asiento pues tiene una mejor visibilidad cuando vamos en el carro. El asiento es cómodo para el. Ãnicamente tuve que cambiar la correa pues la que trae es muy corta y no le permite moverse bien. Fuera de eso ama su asiento y yo también. Un poco caro pero vale la pena. El asiento se doblany guards en un estuche lo cual es practico pero la verdad no hemos tenido la necesidad de usarlo.
El tamaño es adecuado, mi perrito tiene suficiente espacio para acomodarse a su gusto, aún no lo probamos en el auto, pero se ve cómodo y espacioso.
