Very effective in getting snot out of your little one’s nose. But your toddler has to be cooperative. Not very portable though.

Effective with pros and cons
I got this nasal aspirator to use on my newborn when she sounded congested. Overall I think it provides great results. Although not as convenient as a different kind of nasal aspiration I own, it’s more powerful and effective when used correctly. When first using it, I didn’t get any results – but when I used a baby saline spray first, then used this aspiration after waiting some time, it worked like a charm! Apart from taking more time to put together/take apart to clean and store, I also wish this were easier to use. You need both hands to pump as well as hold the bulb in baby’s nose. But you’ll also want to hold baby still so it’s a little tricky unless you’re doing it with another person.

Great aspirator
As grandparents, we want an aspirator handy when we babysit our grandchildren in our home.When our children were infants, we only had a squeeze bulb aspirator. The nozzle was hard, clear plastic, and it had to be removed from the nose to squeeze out the air. Aspiration is not fun for children to experience, so going back for additional aspirations was met with some resistance from the child. Cleaning the rubber bulb was not fun, and it was questionable how well it was cleaned.As a grandparent, I appreciate the silicone nozzle’s conformation to the nasal opening for a better seal. The flow valve allows the nozzle to remain in the nostril when evacuating the air from the cylinder. The plunger has significantly more draw, so fewer attempts will be necessary to clear nasal congestion.Despite the additional parts, cleaning is much easier and more thorough. This nasal aspirator comes with a cloth bag, a storage box for the reservoir, hose, and valve, and a tapered cleaning brush.The only warning I would offer concerns a helpful suggestion in the product description to use a saline rinse to thin the mucus before aspiration. While saline rinses have benefits, some risks must be understood. Many reputable health websites thoroughly explain the process and issues related to benefits and risks. Amazon sells bottles of Sterile Saline Nasal Mist that are safe for newborns.When compared to other products of similar design in local stores, the PewinGo nasal aspirator is priced lower. On Amazon, it is around the middle of the price range of similar products. But if you are comparing prices, consider the additional features that the PewinGod product includes. I think this product is good value for the price.
