Edit: I wrote a review before saying that the video was terrible and there must be something wrong with the new model. I then discovered that I never took off the plastic film over the camera!!! How terribly embarrassingâ¦New review: We bought this for our second child after having the same one for our first. Great monitor and love being able to see the room temp right on the screen! 5 stars!
Great buy
My nephew’s family loves it and uses it all the time (9 months now), so I would recommend. It has a voice activator back to the camera, so it is good to talk to the baby when they woke up too.
Philips never again!
Cons:1- Very narrow lens. If you want to see the whole crib you need to instal it on the ceiling. If you leave it standing on some furniture around the crib you will probably see half of your baby (if he/she doesnât move at all).2- Image out of focus. It could be a problem just on my device but the image was a bit blurred. The the screen is not great, so donât expect image quality.3- There is a strong green led light in front of the camera and a red light around the lens. It is very strong! The room supposed to be dark but the designer of this product decided that it was a good idea to put a âflashlightâ pointing to a babyâs face all night long.4- The temperature alarm is LOUD. I mean, itâs really really loud. If this thing goes on in the the middle of the night you will think the house is on fire! And doesnât matter if you have it on the lowest volume.5. I accidentally hit a music button and a stupid lullaby started to play super loud on the camera. My baby woke up crying extremely scared. At that moment I thought about to smash this terrible product with a sledgehammer.6- Itâs very expensive for what it is. I am packing it up and returning it for a refund. Philips is a brand that I know from the past and I used to like it. This single product changed my opinion about everything they make, specially anything for babies and kids. Philips in my house never again!Pros: the monitor has good looking design (the camera not so much). Thatâs all.
Bon moniteur, bonne portée
J’étais à la recherche d’un moniteur vidéo ne nécessitant pas de wifi et ayant une bonne portée (obstruée). J’habite à la campagne de je voulais pouvoir me faire un feu à l’extérieur quand mon enfant dort à l’intérieur. Je n’ai pas testé la portée maximale, mais mon enfant peut dormir au 2e étage à l’avant de la maison et je peux être à 100 pieds minimum à l’extérieur sans problème.Pour le reste, la batterie semble bien après deux semaines d’usage (je le branche tout de même la nuit) et le moniteur fait bien son travail.
Great image!
Great image, easy to use-plug and go. Cant speak on battery life as we usually leave it plugged in. Happy so far. One great addition would have been a white noise option in addition to the lullaby selection.
Not as great as last model
We have this monitor in the model before and the battery life on it is excellent. This model however, purchased at end of September is already having charging issues. Light flickers on and off for active charging.
Love it for the kids
Love the new dark grey on the stand and camera. This is my 4th camera and I love it! Only one I would use!!
Worth to buy
better than I expected
