Kills your phone battery
The camera is great, and we had no issues with the tech. But, it kills your phone battery. We canât use it on our phones anymore, we had to buy a cheap phone to connect it to instead.
Does not work with Alexa Canada
Disappointed that it doesn’t work with Alexa Canada. I got it just so I can use it with Alexa.
Firstly, I will go through what I like with this baby monitor camera.What I like the most is the easy set up. It looks kind of intimidating to touch because it’s just so cute, but all you need is to plug the cord, install the app, connect to the wifi and voila! I believe this camera has a stand, but it sold separately. After installing I put the camera on a shelf. The electric cord was long enough to reach the shelf. Problem is hiding the cord. The camera can detect crying, humidity, temperature and it has a sensor (going in and out) where you can set up the range in the app. It’s cool that it has 2way audio and can capture photos and videos. Another thing that I like is the background music feature. There’s a lot to choose from but the music are all soothing. I like to turn it on during night time. Helps my boys to go sleep fast. The night vision is awesome! Cant complain about it. It says its compatible with Alexa. I am happy monitoring boys with my phone plus I get real time notification on my phone. The quality of the photos and videos are great too!Now let’s move on to the cons, the awesome features (photos, videos, music, etc.) of this device is that it’s not completely access free. For example, accessing the photos and videos. You’ll need to subscribe to them in order for you to access those. You cannot play all the music in the app. There’s just certain music you can use. I understand however that this is how the company can earn too plus, I believe that there are more benefits they offered with the subscription. But again, the main features of this camera works awesome so I don’t really mind. The notifications can be annoying depends on how you set it up. For example, it will keep sending you notifications if you set up the sensor on high. So, I set mine in medium. Lastly, the price. Price can be a turn off to some parents. But to me so far, its worth the price.I hope it helps.Recommended.
Update!!App has logged me out so many times in the last 24 hours that I have lost count. I now have a backup monitor because this one is so unreliable. Every time the app logs me out or shuts down so does the ability to hear and see my baby. When Iâm awake I can catch this. However at night when it is the most critical, I donât until I hear my other monitor. I wish I could get my money back on the baby monitor and stand as it was over $300 all together.No sound through app. I would return this but I just discovered it as my baby didnât sleep in her room until her 6 month birthday. The app looks like it is working but then the sounds doesnât come through. I wonât sell it because I wouldnât want anyone else to experience what we have. My baby had probably been crying for probably 30 minutes before I woke up and heard her. Now I am putting her back in our room until I can get a new monitor because I donât trust this one AT ALL!
I am happy I bought Pixsee camera for my twins. What I really like about this camera are its image quality, easy to use app, humidity and temperature indicator. I live in a low humidity area so it is so important for me to know if my babies are in a well humidified environment. Another good feature is that I can remotely monitor my babies from my phone is a huge help. The night vision is good quality too. And itâs sensitive enough to detect babiesâ cry, even though I only use one Pixsee it will notify me when my other baby on the other side of the room is crying. On its app it has cry decoder. I am not sure if itâs accurate but it provides good assistance.The only feature I donât really use is the music soothing function. The music is nice but I donât really want my baby to listen to the music automatically when they cry so hard. It feels like more mess to deal with, especially during midnight.Overall I am happy with my Pixsee Camera. I am thinking to get a second one for my other twin baby.
Pixsee is absolute a game changer in baby monitoring. After experiencing many baby cam this is definitely the BEST!!Includes completed functions as high resolution of live streaming , necessary alarm and even with diary capability. For more, it is not only a perfect helper to me but a home decoration !! It is superrr cute !Also, with a high quality of vision and the cloud storage that enable me to store all those lovely moment !The app is so user-friendly and reliable. Pixsee brings me peace of mind which also surprised me with an outstanding monitoring experience!
Do not buy this baby monitor! As cool as the features sound it does not work! Constant connection issues and unreliable which is not what you want as a parent trying to monitor your baby! Waste of money and a pain to try to return!
