I like this product a lot. It has helped to heal a lot of small injuries at my house. I have also used it on my pets. I like the fact that there are 3 antibiotics plus an anesthetic in it. The later one helps to eliminate pain and/or itch when the skin heals for quite a while. I always have some at hand.
This stuff is magic.

3 antibiotics and a pain killer
I’ve used Polysporin Complete for most of my life and it’s proven to be very effective at treating small wounds and insect bites. It contains three different antibiotics which cover all the bases, as not all all infections redpond to a single antibiotic. And it also contains a pain killer to soothe minor wounds and stop any insane itching. It greatly speeds up the healing process and prevents any infection while the base is moisturizing the surrounding skin. A bonus is that it minimizes scarring of tissue. The wound should be covered with guaze or a bandaid after application so it doesn’t get rubbed off. It will get absorbed into the skin and leave a protective film. It doesn’t tend to stain fabrics. It also comes in different combinations, such as no pain killer to numb the area , or only two or one of the antibiotics if you know which ones you require. I find it easier to get all four.I had a tube that had expired years ago, and instead of being as an ointment it was now a semi fluid. I was curious if it was still effective after all these years and applied it to some minor wounds and itchy spots. The analgesic was still fully effective and the antibiotics still worked their magic. A pleasant surprise, as many products go rancid or lose their potency over time. This product didn’t. So I purchased six tube’s to ensure that I always had one available to me. Little nicks and cuts can get very painful and badly infected if not treated right away. Even a tiny splinter can be agony, and this stuff just knocks it right down. Minor blemishes and ingrown hairs are remedied quickly. Great stuff.
Clear oinment
This is the original Polysporin – a clear ointment with 3 antibiotics. No pain killer. This is what I wanted. Will buy again.

Product came in a sealed plastic bag (Picture 1) but the box itself was already opened (picture 2). The tube looked compressed as if it had been used (picture 3) and when I opened the cap, there was no safety seal and there was product around the edging of the cap (picture 4). Pretty gross to receive a used antibiotic cream.
