Read more of Baby’s adventures!
There comes a point in a toddler’s life when going in one’s diaper is only one possible option, and the question must be raised: Should I go in my potty? Spaghetti is yummy, but worms — and blue crayons, and sand, and other things too gross to mention — are definitely yucky. Learning about opposites has never been more fun — or funny — than with this winning board book. Yummy! Yanking cat by tail: no NO. Gentle pat on back: yes YES. And it’s funny how dumping a bowl of food gets a very different reaction from mastering the use of a spoon. The perfect intro to manners! Everybody does it: Kitty, Doggie, Daddy — even Mommy! And when Leslie Patricelli’s beloved bald baby does it while running, it sounds like a train. A hilariously adorable board book about a certain noisy body function! Goodbye, crib. Hello, bed! Baby is happy to move on to the next phase of sleep furniture. There’s so much to do on a big, soft bed, but when Daddy tucks Baby in and Mommy says good night, the bed feels so… different. What now? Sniffles and fishies are quiet, but sneezes and doggies are LOUD. Learn all about opposites with everyone’s favorite Baby from the Leslie Patricelli board book collection!

Read all about how a toddler can learn how to help the mad go away. Mommy gives hugs and kisses – she loves me! She makes spaghetti that’s yummy and cleans Baby’s face and tummy. A towering ice-cream cone makes Baby HAPPY. But when that delectable treat goes splat, it makes Baby SAD. And how quickly HAPPY turns to SAD when a favorite red balloon flies away! Great for introduction to potty training
Great book! The illustrations are fabulous. The big expressions are great and really get kids attention wanting to copy the expression. It’s a good book to help introduce the potty. I learned about this book through the Toddlers Made Easy podcast by Dr. Cathryn on Spotify. The only thing I wish this book had would be a few more descriptive words such as “kitty poops in the litter box” or “doggy pees on the tree” or “big yawn” vs “oh”. However, this book is still great for helping to break the ice around potty training.
Silly and cute
We are new to the Leslie Patricelli books, but I really like them! Very cute pictures, and nice and simple text. My two-year-old is reading along after very few times through the book. This is not a step-by-step guide to get your kid through potty training, but we have read it many times while sitting on the potty.
The best potty training book
My son loves this book! Step by step potty training pictures which is very easy for my toddler to understand. Picked up potty training within a few days. Highly recommend.
Perfect First Book to Introduce Your Little One to the Potty With
It’s a perfect first book to introduce my son to toilet training- I’m really happy with how vibrant and simple it is, it’s also very durable and illustrates well how you might feel when you need to use the bathroom, and I LOVE that the baby in the book isn’t perfect; it illustrates the process of learning to use the potty as one that takes time to master, but is an accomplishment to be proud of!My son is two and he loves the page that says “I did it!” on the big yellow star! He also likes how it shows how the cat and the dog use the bathroom too. It was an excellent buy and, bonus, it arrived early!
Helped with potty training
Simple, effective, sweet little board book to help toddlers potty train. Ours is well loved after being used by 3 children. I always recommend this to friends as apart of our potty training must haves! ð
Love the illustrations
There arenât many words in this book, which makes it a bit awkward to âreadâ. But the illustrations are adorable. And itâs a good talking piece for your toddler. You can talk about the pictures together. Some improvisation required!
Ice breaker in the potty training universe
I’ve been struggling with potty training my eldest. Tried this and that.p, but nothing was working and it was all ending in tears; on both our parts. Enter “Potty,” a lovely and simple book, both narratively and imagery wise. My child immediately took to the simplicity of this book and enjoys looking at the images on her own or will ask me to read it. It hasn’t solved our potty training issues, we are still in diapers, but the dialogue is off to a super positive start. My child no longer cries on the potty and although we don’t force things, there is some progress. Just getting my child open to the idea, let alone on board, is a huge positive step in the right direction. Cannot recommend this enough!
Cute!
This author has the best board books
This is the kind of book you want to have ready in the bathroom during potty training times. It’s funny , simple and toddlers get the message!
Hojas pasta dura y las imágenes vienen a manera de dibujo, simple, poco texto, aun no lo usamos, excelente precio
Such a great book, my kid started related to potty seat and imitating the kid in the book
Not that interesting for a kid to read. Need better content and more entertaining for kids
Not to many words but very expressive and understandable for my boy. He reads over and over this book while sitting on the potty ð
