Great Product
This is a wonderful product.
So cute
Perfect for an unfinished basement bedroom floor
Does what itâs supposed to
Package arrived quickly, however the plastic the tiles were in was damaged and so was one of the squares. A couple edges donât stay properly connected but overall it fills the space that way I had hoped and is a softer play area for my daughter than the laminate in our living room
Good foam mat for children
We put this foam mat in our basement (unfinished) down on a concrete floor. It provides a good amount of cushioning for baby to crawl around and play. It’s not super thick but does a decent job. My only gripe is that when you take off the boarder protectors and put two pieces together, and then try to put the border back on (for the edge of the mat), the boarder doesn’t go on properly – you have to rip a piece off. Seems like a silly design. But not super important overall – can just not use the boarders for the end of the mat and have the ‘unfinished’ edging look.
As described
Good for kids
I should have bought the bigger tiles, they probably work better
I have mixed feelings about this purchase. It worked pretty good in the beginning when my baby started learning to crawl, but the individual squares don’t stick together very well. I don’t think it’s necessarily an product defect or design flaw, but a result of adults walking around the mat and that tends to pull the pieces apart, or inversely, push them together, resulting in bumps and little “hills”. We literally had to adjust it every day or even twice a day and it became a pain in the rear. I have never tried the classic play mat with 2×2 feet sized squares, but i seem to think those would work better because of the size. These are only 1 by 1 foot and i think that’s the downfall of the design, because it means more seams and more problems. The outer edge pieces aren’t that great or useful either. First of all, your baby will start probably pulling them out as soon as they figure out they come apart, and they won’t really stay attached properly anymore. Finally my cat found her way to the playmat and discovered it being a perfect medium for scratching, and so she went bananas. Not something that you need to worry about unless you also have a cat, but we now also have to cover it with blankets every night when we go to bed to protect it from the cat’s intentions.Final thoughts: Got 7 months of use out of it so far and it might go to trash pretty soon. Not happy about the fact that i won’t be able to resell it, which i usually want to do with all my baby items (but part of the reason for that is the damage done by my cat). I also got it much cheaper than the current price, i paid 40 bucks. It seems a bit overpriced at 61 to me, and i would not pay that price, certainly not now, when i discovered all the problems with it.Have a look at my photos, they will give you a good idea what it’ll look like once you start using it.
large coverage area
cllourful, protective play area/floor covering.. easy to assemble.. purchased for step-daughter’s newborn (to place within added play enclosure purchase) – she is very happy with the product and found she had extra pieces to add a smaller open play area in his bedroom – definitely recommend based on her comments re product.. (3400 km).. “I love it! He’s gonna use it lots!”
Great mats for a softer play space.
Really happy with these mats. Opted for this type over the ones with the shape cutouts as I’d read that babies like to rip out the shapes and they can pose a choking hazard. This creates a softer surface for my baby’s play area on my hardwood floor and protects my (pre baby super fancy) rug in his other play area. He likes to rip of the squares but I’m not worried about him choking on small pieces. Super easy to clean at the end of the day. The border pieces I got don’t match exactly. I’m not fussed by that. It’s a baby play area so I’m not too mental about it looking so “design”, you know? Covers a huge space. I bought two packs.
I originally bought this to go under the ball pit in the basement with a hard floor, but I actually ended using it as a mat for a tent for my toddler. It was the perfect size for it.
This foam mat is great!! Itâs 6âx6â when assembled, and 1â thick. Itâs soft, easy to clean, and very cute! The colors are bright and fun. It turned my front room into a good play space for my baby, as I have hardwood floors and this mat is thick, quality foam. It was easy to assemble; I started on the outside and worked my way in, making sure not to put two of the same colors together or repeat patterns. It would be a really fun project to let older kids assemble this too. There were lots of extra foam boarder pieces left over too, so thereâs replacements if the boarder pieces get damaged.
I crochet and knit and I purchased this pack of puzzle tiles, so that I can “block” squares and other items. It is more affordable than the products made specifically for “blocking” and it works just as good. Very durable and made of great quality. There was no smell of anything horrible to these either which is different from others and I really liked that. They are stable to sit on their own and even with pins in them, they don’t fold or move. They’re beautiful colors just pop and are a great addition to my craft room. My daughter also loves to use them as a play mat. They’re perfect for that as well. They fit together nicely (like a puzzle) and don’t fall apart even when she’s tumbling all over them. They are also very easy to clean as well. Multipurpose use for us and very affordable. Highly recommend.
Not that quality products
