Great help for the elderly or infirm
Bought these for my elderly father who has had difficulty holding on to regular drinking glasses and mugs since suffering from stroke as well as other health issues. These are light enough for him to pick up easily and having two handles let’s him hold his drink with confidence. The wide base is a great feature, preventing spills while the lids with the hole for the straw keeps the straw in place…dad doesn’t have to chase that straw around the cup anymore! So happy we purchased this!
Love the lids
I didnât realize when I ordered but cups came with 2 lids each. One with a spout and one with a hole. Both lids are transparent so contents can be seen from the cup or lid.My grandmother has dementia and limited mobility. Anytime we give her a cup with a lid she would try to remove it or refuse to drink because she couldnât see contents. But she canât drink without a lid or suck on a straw.These cups are perfect for her. Sheâs using the lid with a hole currently and canât tell itâs there so she doesnât try to remove it. The lids are difficult to remove anyway so she wouldnât be able to if she tried. The spouted lid is angled so that when the time comes to use it, it wonât have to be lifted as high to be able to drink.Some people have said their cups cracked so weâre hand washing and making sure not to add hot liquids, just warm or cold.

2 Handled Plastic Mug
This is a great buy!! You get 3 mugs and 6 tops. One type of top for hot drinks and separate top for cold drinks. It was purchased for my husband who has Alzheimer’s, who has difficulty holding onto cups or glasses. They work great, allowing enough fluid to drink, without causing any choking issues. They are made well, easy to clean and I don’t have to worry about them tipping. I would definitely recommend this product.

Product works as advertised. It prevents spillage. Biggest pro is that it controls the flow of liquid. Very, very satisfied with the product and wouldn’t hesitate to buy again.

This product is exactly what I was looking for when searching adult sippy cups. The size of 4 – 6 oz is all I need because I needed to keep the weight down once it had liquid in it. The clear container shows amount that was used. It has handles on both sides for two handed grip. The lid secures easily and has sipping holes that are not too big. It works great for water or coffee. I hand wash them because they are used through-out the day and the pack of three insures I always have one clean and available. I have to add a thickening agent to the liquid beverage and stir it briskly. These cups will stand long term use. I am extremely happy with this product and the price was great, too.
Thank you for this very useful item. It’s the perfect size and easy to hold. A 3-pack is a great idea. Allows me to have water always available while interchanging the liquids in the other two cups. Have to be careful of how high you tilt the cup for drinking since there is a small hole in the top of the cup which I assume is for air flow to allow the liquid to come out but it’s not a big deal and I’ve never had it to leak.
My mother has Alzheimer’s and drinks ensure or boost as her only form of food (and that’s with a lot of urging and convincing from us). She was having a lot of trouble holding mugs or cups and spilled it all over herself more than once (even with us there to try to prevent it – it happens so fast!)These mugs have made a huge difference in her care. She holds the cup herself now because it’s much lighter than a regular mug. When we do need to help her drink, it’s easier for us to wield the cup without her fearing having her remaining teeth hit the ceramic mug’s edge. We can all see the contents and how much is left which is helpful too.These mugs comes with two lid types – one like a sippy cup and one with 3 holes. We use the one with the holes so it’s more like a regular drinking cup for her; and when she does drop it, it leaks a little of course, but not like a whole cup spilling!The biggest problems we’ve faced is her grabbing one of the handles and trying to drink from the other handle (it’s possible, but awkward), and you have to lift the mug at a rather steep angle to get the last bits of the liquid inside. Also, taking the lid off to wash is super hard (which makes it great when SHE tries to take the lid off but… it does take a while to get the hang of taking the lid off)We took the advice of other reviewers and do not put these in the dishwasher so that they won’t crack. We hand wash them and it doesn’t take long at all. So far so good! No cracks (although if you use metal spoons or forks to stir in them, they will develop very light scratches. We had her doctor prescribe her medication in powder or liquid form so we mix it with her ensure right in these cups)Good luck and I hope my review helped!
Mom likes this mug. She likes the large handles in which she can fit her arthritic hands. She like the different lids and the fact she can use it without the lids. The first lid allows her to sip like a straw. The second lid allows her to drink without the liquid spilling all over her. Both lids have holes for actual straws. She drinks both hot and cold liquids for it. Note, three mugs come in this package. The second lid usually only fits the mug it can with and can’t be interchanged with other mugs. The first lid can be used with other mugs. I don’t quite understand why.I, as a caregiver, like the measurements of 2oz, 4oz, 6oz and 8oz on the side of the mug. Mom has swallowing issues and has to drink thickened liquids. With other mugs, I would have to use a measuring cup to add the liquid to the mug and then add the thickening agent. But with this mug, I can pour the liquid straight into the mug. That saves me time, effort and means one less item to clean. And to me, anything that saves a caregiving is a good product. And I can track how much liquid she is drinking by seeing how much liquid I put in the mug versus how much liquid is left after she is done.In all, a win-win situation for my mom and for me.
I’m rating these low for a number of reasons. We did not find them suitable for an elderly person who does not have good manual dexterity. The handles are difficult to put fingers around for those without full manual dexterity or who struggles with a cup already and has something like Parkinson’s, (at least in our case), but I am happy to read others found these cups useful. I’d just like to share this to provide our own personal experience that might help others. The open slot around the handle is extremely tiny for anyone that has a medium to larger fingers, like a male’s hand. In addition, once the handles are held, the person has to have the ability to angle the hands and wrists to a great degree to tip it to get the liquid out of the sip part of the cup. This is a very small, very lightweight, very cheap plastic cup. It almost seems like a “throw-away” quality. All of our lids were extremely difficult to remove and we’re used to using lidded cups. It holds very little liquid, ice is almost out of the question unless you want even less liquid. The liquid comes out very, very slowly which might helpful for some people but too slowly for our needs. There was no way a regular, small size straw fit in the lid provided for a straw (two lid styles are included) I almost wonder if the product changed since so many people are happy with the cup. Unfortunately we have to give them away. I paid for expedited shipping because I was so hopeful and read all the good reviews. I want to help anyone else that might be getting this for an elderly person hoping it will be easier for them to use to drink. Elderly who are already quite cup challenged in the ways I’ve discribed might have the same difficulties we had. I’m rarely disappointed with my online purchases. So this was $30.00 (including expedited shipping) lost.
