Best dog toy purchase ever-Great for strong chewers!
My dog absolutely loved this toy as a puppy. He dragged it everywhere with him, and even slept with it. It’s the only toy to survive his puppyhood. He’s three years old now and still needs to destroy all toys, no matter what the material is…even a black rubber Kong doesn’t last more than five minutes with him. Anything with a squeaker in it lasts a few minutes at most.He did manage to chew off the tail during his puppy teething stage. This is because it’s sewn on to the body separately, with only about an inch of stitching. Genius design otherwise… The fabric is exceptionally strong. An arm and leg is made as a single tube-style unit which slides through holes in the body; two on each side. This makes the toy perfect for playing tug-of war without fear of ripping off the limbs. It’s also a great toy for tossing about in a game of fetch. My dog loves the five squeakers in this toy (one in the body, and one in each of the hands and feet). The loss of its tail did not detract from his pleasure of this otherwise hardy toy.I couldn’t throw out his original monkey for sentimental reasons. A few months ago, he found it buried in a basket and resurrected it. It’s still his favourite toy so I decided to treat him with a new one, and he loves this one just as much… One month later, all limbs, squeakers, and tail still intact.I highly recommend this toy!
Durable toy
This was a gift for a friend for his dog. Very good quality, had it for two years now and it is his favourite toy. Still in one piece and washed many times.
Poor quality. Ripped apart with ease.
Gave it to our French bulldog and she ripped the stuffing out in less than 20 minutes. Poor quality dog toy, Do not recommend!
Very tough toy for strong tuggers and chewers
Our two + year old poodle absolutely loves this very tough toy. She is a strong tugger and chewer. It is her go to choice from many toys. A great toy.
Sturdy, but supervision needed
Let me start by saying that this is by no means the most durable plushie for an 80lb mastiff x. Supervision is definitely required because sharp teeth will get thru the fabric. However, my dog LOVES this toy. I have bought other ones from this brand, but he wants nothing to do with them. For some reason it’s gotta be the monkey. I have stitched up and washed this thing many times, while looking for a replacement. Now that they’ve finally became available, I bought 2 lol.
Excellent! My dog loves it!
Fantastic for small dogs. My dog is an aggressive chewer and its lasted for months. It eventually will come apart if your dog is persistent enough, but you just need to see it a bit and can last for quite awhile.
The older ones seem tougher
Bought this because 2 years ago we got the dog the smaller one (sasquatch) and it is still going strong. MY dog destroys toys. This one did not survive more than 2 weeks. Side ripped open from him. He pulled the face off. Still he loves to play with it so 3/5 stars.

My dog loves these monkeys. Overall, I find the monkey-toy to be highly resistant to tears and does not retain any smell even if she keeps gnawing at it for a while. One toy lasts us at least 2 -3 months even though she has a strong bite and tugs very hard. Its a pity, the price has really gone up and I can sadly not afford buying these toys again. Would definitely buy lots more if the price was more affordable.
My opinion on this toy is irrelevant. My dog loves this toy and thats all that matters. Its held up for a year and is his go-to *I’m irritated* toy. Whenever he’s feeling aggrieved over something (Did’ent get table scraps, get yelled at for something) this toy takes the beating. We suppose he sees it as the pack *beta* because this toy takes an A-whoopin quite often and still keeps trucking. Tough and well made, will buy again once his current monkey needs to be retired due to injury.Mid-2018 Update.Poor Sasquatch is near dead. He’s been repaired more times than I can count but he’s on his last legs for sure. The toy lasted 2.5 years and is STILL my dogs top go-to toy even in its poor condition. We’ve searched and searched for a replacement but sadly Quaker does not make the Sasquatch toy any more. (I E-mailed them and was told this product has been discontinued) They are still making the *monkey* variant and we have one of those, our dog plays with it some but his attachment to Sasquatch is strong. We’re currently trying to transition him to the monkey toy. Very sad that we can’t replace it. I’d give the toy more star’s if I could, 2.5 years for a dog toy with a 100lb dog .. can’t really go wrong with that. Hoping he moves over to the Monkey toy and gets a couple more years of fun with that one.Added a pic of a 2.5 year old well used toy for reference on how well it held up. Excellent. My dog has destroyed every soft toy we have given him, even those meant for aggressive chewers. This has lost an ear but the rest is intact and still in good condition. Hours of fun and enjoyment have been had, great toy.
This toy worked perfectly and my dog loved it. Very durable. I have a very big dog that tends to destroy his toys as soon as he gets them but this one just withheld. Very cleverly built, strong enough to play tug of war and let the dog chew on it as much as he wants.
Good toy for dogs but after a long time it started to brake and had to be sown back up
Very dissapointed in the quality of this product. We bought this toy because of its ‘chew guard technology’.Our puppy is 4 month old, not a strong chewer and still has his baby teeth. He broke this toy in less than a day.So far for the promised chew guard technology…
