QUOKKA Vine 1000 Piece Puzzle Cruise Vistas for Adults – 50+ Scenes & 100+ Characters

We like to do jigsaw puzzles and when we saw this one, we were intrigued.The first thing we noticed when laying out the pieces on the table is the VERY unique shapes of all of the puzzle pieces! There are a couple of them shaped like a whale, a circle, one piece that has a spot for another piece in the middle of it – very creative! The pieces range from very large to very small. It’s almost like no two pieces are the same.This puzzle also has some “hidden” objects that aren’t on the guide map but are on the puzzle. This can make it more challenging as some of the pieces don’t match the guide map entirely. You have to have a keen eye to look at the other parts of the puzzle piece to determine where it goes. It can be either more challenging or it could be somewhat irritating, depending on the type of person you are. In reality, it only makes it somewhat more challenging. We didn’t find that detracted from the fun factor of this puzzle.We found that the puzzle quality is pretty good. Because of all of the unique shapes, not all of them lock to the next piece. This means that some of the placed pieces can move around while you’re working the puzzle. Once you realize this, you can be a little more careful with the guide map when placing it on top of the puzzle; pick it up straight off the table and don’t slide it around. Our biggest complaint with the puzzle is how thin the pieces are. We found it difficult to pick up the pieces from the table and many times had to slide them to the edge of the table instead. Kind of a pain.Overall, we found this puzzle to be a lot of fun to put together. Even with the minor complaints, I’d still recommend this puzzle to anyone that wants to try something a little different.

I’m a HUGE fan of this puzzle. I have a few comments/observations but none of them are negative, moreso because I feel they’ll be useful for expectations.The pieces are WILD. They are not the same size and they certainly aren’t the same shape (legit, one of them is a circle the size of approx. a dime). I thought this added to the fun, but I’m sure this will be offputting for people who insist on being traditional puzzlists.The pieces are thin. I can see a complaint being that they aren’t as good quality as other puzzle companies; however, if they aren’t so thin that I worry about them bending/breaking/ripping, I personally don’t think this matters. They also fit together just as well or better than some other puzzles I have done.I’m glad there are instructions on the back of the box to open the “Seek for…” envelope ONCE YOUR PUZZLE IS COMPLETE. I wish this had also been on the envelope, as the envelope says “open when you have gathered the puzzle” which I personally would associate with having the pieces and your puzzle space ready to assemble.This is basically a jigsaw puzzle and giant spot the difference puzzle all at once. I appreciate that the differences are minor enough to make the spot the difference aspect challenging but not impossible, without making the jigsaw puzzle harder to complete (I’m looking at you, [some] Ravensburger Escape puzzles).In case you use a puzzle board or very small table, this puzzle IS larger than the “standard” 1,000-piece puzzle.Most things I get for review are just to try something new. At such a reasonable price, I enjoyed this puzzle enough to buy the other two in the collection.

This is such a cute puzzle – better than traditional puzzles. It is pretty large when assembled, so I recommend measuring the spot where you’d normally assemble your puzzles to make sure it fits. (I had to switch out my table because I didn’t measure my table prior to trying to assemble. Also, the reference photo is poster size so you’ll need quite a bit of space to dedicate). There is so much going on with this puzzle. The characters are all cute and there’s so much happening here. When you assemble, you’ll notice new characters and situations popping up. The puzzle pieces are even unique! Some are huge, some are tiny, some are shaped like whales and circles. There’s even a puzzle piece inside of a larger puzzle piece. The pieces fit together nicely and was a decent thickness (though, admittedly, I wish they were a tiny bit thicker/better quality, but not enough to dock a star for.) I’d highly recommend this fun puzzle!
