This gate is extra high and provides excellent safety for our dog. It was easy to assemble and has plenty of adjustment to suit a variety of openings. Good quality hardware.

Great baby/pet gate for this price. Everything we needed.
My family needed a gate that would prevent our little 18-lb dog from going upstairs, while still allowing our cats to go through it (as you can see, a higher installation allows for our cats can to go under but the dog can’t fit), and also a gate that can be adapted as child-proofing later on. This gate provided all that.The installation was rather confusing as it took two people about 40 minutes to properly secure it – but we were able to do so no problem. We love that it comes with wall mounting & a banister kit. It’s very sturdy now, and none of us have any problem using it with one hand (see video), unlike many reviews complained. I will 110% be able to do this while holding a baby, I have already done so with the cats. We also like how it can slide and be kept open as half the gate.It’s simple in design, but the white metal looks nice regardless. The only setback is it can be a little loud opening and closing, but you just have to be more gentle. A little grease spray helped too.For this price point of less than $100, this gate is great and simple. We’ve only had it a few days, but I think it’ll hold up nicely over time.

Don’t buy it. Worst latch mechanism
I purchased this for the top of the stairs and installed today.First of all, after installing the mounting poles as soon as I mount the gate I realize that you have to install them at a different distance from the edge, as the gate is made of two parts that slides again each other. So if you measure same distance to have the poles on a straight line, it wont work. Too bad they don’t say that.Instructions are lacking few important tips.Also, the provided mounting screws are garbage.Most important, after I re install one of the pole, I put back the gate amd I discover that the latch mechanism is made so cheap, and also never get to close top and bottom at the same time.For a gate at the top of the stairs, opening and closing is very difficult.This is going back.The only positive notr could be the banister mounting hardware. That was one oglf the reason why I chose this gate.If I could give zero star, I would.
Very sturdy gate
I use this in my split entry home to prevent my dogs from going down the stairs to the front door. It’s a nice tall and sturdy gate that can be opened with one hand.

I installed this baby gate at the top of my stairs, and overall, Iâm really happy with it! The installation was straightforward and quick. Initially, I found it a bit difficult to close because the gate would slide slightly, changing its size and making it tricky to secure. However, I added two zip ties at the top and two at the bottom to prevent any sliding, and now itâs perfect! The gate is sturdy, easy to open and close, and exactly what I needed for peace of mind. With that small adjustment, Iâd definitely recommend this gate to anyone looking to add safety for their little ones.
Unfortunately, I had to return the gate because my house is very old and the walls are not plum so it just would not attach quite right, but I wanted to write a good review. The product unboxed nicely, is well-made and sturdy, the directions are easy with a with a nice template for mounting the brackets ,and I think it would actually work well. So what I can speak to is that it is actually well-made and sturdy if anybody is worried about it being flimsy.
