great system, love it
Looks great, functions well. Quite durable, our toddler has been climbing and hanging on them for months, they’re holding up great. Also, not worried about them failing like the ones that are held in by pressure pushing out against the walls, I feel like our kid would have knocked those over and fallen down the stairs by now.
Perfect but NOT for jumpers/chewers
We got 2. 1 to keep the doodle out of the kitchen when needed and a 2nd one to keep her upstairs. We installed the kitchen one first and put it 6″ off the floor so the cats could still walk under it. Annoying and ugly but it works and keeps her out. Then I installed the 2nd one at tge top of tge stairs. We couldn’t raise it so I cut a hole in it instead (wish I had thought of that for the other gate). It’s perfect. Install is easy peezy, it looks great, it’s easy to open and close and keeps her out/in. The cats step through without issue. Price was fantastic, too. It pulls hard, which is good. Still easily operates with 1 hand (as long as u have the hand strength(L. Only downside (which hasn’t been an issue for us-yet) is that the gate fabric/mesh is thin and cuts easily. It’s sturdy enough that it won’t tear on its own but if cat or dog teeth/claws decide it looks tasty, it’ll cut like butter. If your pet is a jumper/scratcher/chewer, this gate is 1200% NOT for you. If your pet needs a “passive” barrier, you will love this gate.
Worked perfectly.
Instructions were easy to follow and it was super easy to install. The brackets had sticky backs so you could stick them to the wall for hands free application and to ensure correct positioning before permanently attaching it. No need for a “helper” when installing. We put it at the top of the stairs to our deck so our cats could lounge on the deck without being visited by my neighbours black lab. Kept the dog out and cats in. Should work when grand kids visit as well. I like that you can easily take the gate off the brackets and bring it inside.
