Easy to install and use
I had been looking for a gate like this for a while and this one is excellent, highly recommend.It can be installed easily, either by drilling directly in to the area needed or if you are looking for a simple installation you can use the adhesive pads in lieu of drilling – the pads are great if you aren’t expecting anything to push on it regularly – probably not great if you are looking to secure an area for a baby (you will want to use the screws and anchors for keeping a child safe) but its been great to keep my dog out of a room when I am not home.If i needed another I would re-purchase.
Great quality. But know where and how your want it first
This really is, a great quality child or pet gate. And I honestly feel it is superior to many of the plastic, lightweight ones on the market as far as overall strength and construction. With very heavy gauge plastic materials for the main body, thick flexible roller fabric, and heavy plastic lock tabs. It is exceptionally sturdy and strong. Even with the fabric portion that rolls out, is excellent in strength to hold back the wildest child or bulldog. Well maybe not a really wild bulldog! Let’s not get carried away. But it’s pretty strong!While the materials are strong and meant to uphold against unintentional or intentional pushing, it has a couple of downfalls that for our particular setup, made our initial setup a valued lesson. With our first attempt without thoroughly reading instructions. And applying the hooks the wrong way, in an area that wouldn’t work, we ended up having to relocate the wall locks and main body. Which completely ruined our walls!Once you apply the 2-way tape to the wall, it is staying there! Or else you need to do drywall repairs and repaint. But this highlights the importance of knowing exactly where and how you need to install this BEFORE you try to install it. Because the materials used for this gate are exceptionally well made. And designed to stay.The gate looks great, is incredibly easy to use, and is a great value for excellent quality of this level. Making it perfect for most standard door/stair openings. And block most stairwells with width of up to 55″+- with a great fit.

I can rest easy that my autistic son will not fall down basement stairs while I shower or be able to elope this is a top notch product
Mesh gate
Was lovely really likrd the easy access to slip actoss open & close. But then we have a smart pup as he figured material was soft enough to be able to squeeze under & out he got For us sadly it didn’t work to our needs!
Works as advertised
I recently got the Retractable Baby Gates No Drill for Stairs and Doorways, and itâs been great for keeping my dogs from going upstairs. The auto-lock is a nice feature, and I love that thereâs no need to drill any holes. The mesh material feels durable, and the gate retracts smoothly. Overall, itâs a great gate and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Solid build.
Super awesome construction and feel. High end product and easy to install. Make sure you use a level while installing to ensure perfect alignment for the latch. Great find!
Adhesive
The adhesive backing on one of the hooks keep coming off.
I got these for my dog, so I only needed on, as she could get in one of my cabinets and it worked to keep her out.
While my grandson isn’t yet all over the house, he soon will be and we decided to go ahead and start baby-proofing before he was up and about on a regular basis. I had used similar locks when my son was a child and they were great at keeping his hands off of things they didn’t belong on. I have the same expectation of these locks and I can tell they will be good at that by how well they have adhered and held up so far. We did apply a couple of them in the kitchen as my grandson does spend some time in there while I’m cooking and as my kitchen is small, he can reach the cabinets from his highchair and has been able to open them. Not anymore though, these have worked very well on the cabinets we have applied them to and no matter how hard he pulls on the handles, the cabinets don’t budge at all. Recommended if you also have overly curious little ones and I’m fairly certain we will be circling back to acquire a few more of these as well as other baby-proofing items.
The adhesion withstands the tugging of the toddler, who loves to dig into the bread drawer and walk around munching on a loaf of bread, dragging the bag around with her. It’s also simple enough for the older ones to figure out how to open it without getting frustrated. The only downside is that the process of adjusting the length of the strip is very difficult even though it’s actually just pulling the strip through a clip. I guess that means it’s really secure though!
These locks are perfect for making your house safe for a new baby or visiting toddler. I have used a lot of different child locks, and these were comparable to other child latches that I have used. You can adjust the length of the latches to be longer or shorter as needed. They are also easy to latch and unlatch with one hand, which is a huge bonus when you are a busy parent of toddlers! Installing them is easy, and the adhesive seems to work pretty well on various surfaces. I haven’t had problems so far with the latches popping off.The only drawback was that the latches in my pack were slightly different colors. You can’t really tell in the picture, and most people wouldn’t notice, but there was some slight variation.I used these to double latch 3 pairs of dark wooden dresser doors. So far, my toddler hasn’t been able to figure out how to open them! A few other uses for these latches include:- Toilets- Flip lid trash cans- Cupboards- Drawers- Refrigerators/freezers
I have to keep my pet pigs out of my refrigerator, and these seem to do the trick. They installed easily and aren’t too much of a hassle to use. And, so far, my pigs haven’t figure out a way to open them…yet lol
