The Sesame Oil, Polyoxyethylene Castor Oil and Polyoxyl Stearate help to supply and stabilize the lipid layer, which helps tear stabilization and prevent tear evaporation. RELIEF!After buying countless products that have varied in price and some even insisted upon by doctors at insane out of pocket prices, this the best, most amazing one I have found!I was sceptical but upon first use I felt relief. Suffering from a disease that has brought with it, Sjogren syndrome, burning mouth syndrome, this product helps relieve the dry eyes that no one has been able to help, this has. It even has a dispenser that actually dispenses one drop at a time, literally one drop, it can be used with mascara, yup, mascara. I no longer have a purse full of drops, I have just this!Want even more longer term relief with each use, place drop in eye, close opposite nostril with finger, and inhale, drop goes into the tear duct, bringing even more relief!I am in LOVE!
Clear Vision After Use.â Takes Away Grittiness Feeling.â Menthol Ingredient Burns My Eyes.â
Having quality eye drops are high importance on my shopping list. Iâve never heard of Rohto before but I immediately wanted to try it because it says it is for âintensive dry eye relief.â I believe I fall in that category since I have needed heated masks to ease my chronic eye pain. So I figured why not? Iâm always looking for something better.Unfortunately these burn my eyes and cause discomfort for a good 15 to 20 seconds, but then it gradually gets better. This was quite a shock for me and immediately checked the ingredients where I discovered the culpritâmenthol! Basically mint. Despite the initial discomfort the drops work well and I go over the pros and cons below.ð â WHAT I LIKE: âªï¸Takes away the grittiness feeling in my eyes. âªï¸No blurry vision immediately after use, unlike some where they take a minute to clear. âªï¸Comes in a sealed protective plastic bag. If this is broken, donât use the product. âªï¸Easy to use applicator that dispenses a controllable drop. âªï¸I like the effectiveness of the drops AFTER the burning sensation runs its course. âWHAT I DONâT LIKE: âªï¸I questioned the safety of using mint in my eyes so I did a quick Google search. Just as one would suspect, youâll find some disturbing information first, however there are top ophthalmologists who say it is safe. That said, I am still a bit concerned about the ingredients. Youâll have peace of mind knowing that it is the top brand in Japan and they have the best health care in the world that âfixesâ the problem rather than lubricates it. I just hope that they use the same ingredients but I couldnât find any information on that. I did find that the US ingredients are different. Itâs a rabbit hole worth going down. âªï¸The branded box is oversized. You can easily fit two or three bottles in there. ð¦OVERALL:I honestly donât understand the necessity of mint especially if it is bothersome to some users. I wish there was a larger warning on the box declaring the mint ingredient. I read that Rohto offers different degrees of menthol in their product and people in Japan can choose more or less (it is clearly marked on the box). If this doesnât exist in Canada yet, it should! I would certainly order from this company again without the mint ingredient. Iâll have to keep my eyes open for this when I am looking to restock my drops in a few months because it is a good product in the end.
Rohto Dry Aid Intensive Dry Eye Relief
These lubricating eye drops target the major symptoms of dry eyes, and provide relief for up to 12 hours. I often get gritty and burning eyes during the winter with forced air heating, and these drops have been very helpful, especially when used before bedtime. The formula helps restore and stabilize the natural tear film, and does not contain harmful ingredients. I really like how the bottle is is designed to only release one drop at a time, preventing the product from running everywhere.
The Cooling Effect Can Be a Little Jarring
I can occasionally get itchy eyes due to a mild cat allergy, and still happen to have three very fluffy cats roaming our house and get all the cuddles. This means having some eye drops on my nightstand is a must to give some needed relief when I get a flare-up.These drops do a good job of flushing out my eyes. The precision of the dropper allows you to control just how much you use.The one thing I found a little surprising at first is the cooling effect these drops have due to the menthol inclusion in the drops. It’s a little weird at first when you’re not expecting to have that cooling effect. While it’s not uncomfortable, it might be a little unpleasant for some people.
Love the bottle and applicator, good dry eye relief
I don’t know why most dry eye products don’t come in similar bottles. It’s great! You barely have to squeeze it for it to release a drop. Not to mention it’s very cute but I’m biased as I love purple. The bottle is not round but a little flat which is great to use on the go.The drops themselves sting a little bit for the first few seconds after application but after that I got hours of relief.Pricing is in the same range as other brands and like most other eye drops you discard the bottle 90 days after opening it. If you suffer from dry eye, I highly recommend this product.

It is the season of dry and cold air, and your eyes will obviously feel the changes in the air. If you need a bit of extra lubrication, these are a fantastic option. I didn’t know about this brand until I started looking for some eye drops and I’m glad I found them.The bottle is MUCH easier to use than other eye products. You don’t need to press extra hard to get a drop out, and precision is easily obtained.The product itself is mild, not irritating and will help with keeping the eyes lubricated when needed. I’m actually loving the refreshing feel it provides as well ! It seems that for the price of these drops, this is a great value.
